Remarks

I prefer it to those who want to study their degree program with the natural beauty of kashmir,the college is situated on the bank of world famous dal lake,famous for shikara and house boats.Second thing is that this is a college of national Importance and have good placements,and almost 100 percent placements in it and cse branches.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is totally updated and much relatable with the course,and compete with other courses.We have two exams in a year one is endterm and second is mid term,mid term is of 30 Mark's and endterm is of 60 Mark's rest is of assignment and other assessments.You have to take care of cgpa from very first year because 7.5 cgpa is mendatory to get a placement in company or a internship.faculties for first year are not good enough but from second year there is permanent faculty.

Class Size: 92Course Fees: INR 65600 per year

Placement Experience

Placement for our college is good with compared to other colleges and some low rank nits,in fourth year there are placement coordinators who are engage In find out the companies for placement.For core branches companies coming are HPCL,BPCL,VEDANTA,L&T CONSTRUCTION,IOCL,ETC,and for non core,samsung,copgemini,Alstom,optum,etc

College Events

Campus life is good,there is low boys to girls ratio.Boys can walk outside the hostels up to 9 pm and for girls it is only 6 pm,there is not a night life for girls.There are many fests in our campus of which trchvnza is the greatest fest of our college in which other student from different colleges take part in,and the biggest fest of the valley.

Campus Life

There was a loss in infrastructure in 2014 floods and now it is under recovering.There are five hostels Mansar,manswal, jhelum, tawi, indus for boys with a high speed wifi connection.There is 200 gb wifi connection.

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main. The Eligibility Criteria is that the candiddate must qualify JEE Main and score above 75% marks in 12th. A score of 96 - 97 p;ercentile is enough for an OB/C or General student and 93% -90 perccentile for SC / ST students.
