Anonymous's Review On Indian Institute Of Information Technology - [IIIT], Una

It's a government college which provides all the facilities like good and excellent faculty, sports, elite hostels and many other things. Though it's a new college but still it's growing at a fast rate. Placement is also very good, almost 95 percent of total students get placed in good companies with a decent to good package.

Curriculum is also very nice. The first year curriculum mainly include courses related to all branches so that you can have a basic knowledge of each field. For an engineer, irrespective of the field,engineering design is very important i.e.manufacturing of the product with least possible inputs, with more comforts,etc. After that from second year you are taught according to your branch.

Many companies visit to college which gives decent to really good salary. Most of the students also get placed.

Meraki is the annual technical festival of the college. It is organised at national level and participants from the colleges all over India participate. In this a whole room is decorated in a theme using junk items. The fest consists of competitions for dance, singing,fine arts, Group Discussion(GD), Antakshri, and a fashion show. Other attractions are juke box, paper dance, street play, x-games, rock concert, and hasya kavi sammelan.

College is still being build in Una,Himachal Pradesh so the students study at 2 transit campus. 3rd and final year study at NIT Hamirpur and 2nd year at Devbhoomi college near Haroli, Una. The design of new campus is put on iiit site.

Hostel infrastructure is also really good. Well-furnished residential facilities or hostels are provided to the outstation students in IIIT. The institute provides separate hostels for both boys and girls. The Boy?s hostel is situated in the Institute?s main campus while the Girl?s hostel is situated at outer of campus. Presently the IIIT hostel can accommodate 150 students (boys and girls combined).
