Remarks

1st of all it is a nit, secondly it is one of the oldest engineering college situated in 1960.it have been converted in nit I. 2001 by the government of India before it, it was the resional engineering college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have study only 3 months from when I have got college in 2019 due to carfue after abbreviation of 370 from kashmir and after that very cold season but on the basis of 3 month experience average academic, no doubt some is very good faculties members also.

I have no more idea about it yet, because I have spent only 3 months in college and I am a 1st year student but I can say that only, the placement and job opportunities not to good we can say average.

College Events

If I talk about my campus life it running good, when I present in college feel good. However my hostel is better then other hostel because it is a new hostel that was starting in 2018. But problem is that in one room 6 students present that is not a good thing.

Campus Life

Campus infrastructure have been very old, need to renewaye them, some renewation have already start, some have finished, I think the library is small according to number of students, I have also face many time problems to get a sit in library, if we talk about wi fi, we have spent 3 months without Internet in nit, no doubt the geo fiber have been spread in campus. If you talk about lab equipment it is necessary to increase latest equipment.

Hostel Facilities

Some hostel are good, with all facilities, such as wi fi through lane cable, light, table etc. But not in all and more hostel are old need to renewate it, finally we can say that some good quality hostel presents as well as some average and poor also available.

Hostel Fee: INR 34000 per year

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

I got this college on the basis of councellign held after jee main result before this i got Natinal institue of technology Megalya i left that beacuse of non permanent hostel facility and bad reviews from the seniors and the distance from mine hoemtown sikar(Rajasthan) even many good engineerig colleges was there in mine list but because of mine less marks in jee main and advance i am unable to get them (example : nit silchar, nit Wrangle, nit Trichy etc) but over all mine college was good according to Enviroment conditions and other parameters and the admission process was very smooth just you have to verify your documents ....Read More

As we all know that the B.Tech course is of four years and divided into eight semesters. It is offereed across 8 different specialisations including /cse, /ee, ECE, MEC, META, CIVIL, IT /cHE . The course admission is done on the basis of candidate's performance in JEE Main followed by JOSSA counselling/CSAB counselling. The allotment is donw on the basis of merit score in Je/e Main.
