Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.

My college is very beautiful. It has a very nice and student friendly environment. All the professors are very gentle, very kind, very humble. Also very friendly with students. And helpful.

First of all, we had to apply for the admission through online. We had to go to the College's official website and then apply. After that, the college authority published their merit list. They publish upto 3 merit lists. My name was published in the 3rd merit list. And then, after getting selected. We had to pay the Admission fees through UPI. Then, we got a notice regarding the document verification. We had to come to the college in person to verify our documents.
