Remarks

The management is not good at all in terms of cooperating with students interests and needs the basic amenities like proper A/C and light are a problem faculty is pretty troublesome as they keep on giving meaningless written assignments and the worst part about the lectures is that they are for 2 hours in length which is too much to handle for students it is a hostile environment and students don't enjoy studying in here the library is good though but it is always overcrowded as the campus is small and students are much more.

Entrance Preview

IITJEE 210/480, AIEEE 127/360, MHTCET 108/200 I chose this course as I was very good in physics and mathematics and this course had the highest cutoff in any college in 2011. There was no interview conducted, the admissions were purely based on my AIEEE scores.

Internships Opportunities

We had no internship opportunities during our 3 years but in the 4th year for the 1st time TEJAS course was carried out, giving us 100? guarantee of jobs in fibre optic related companies but no internships with stipends though.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement opportunities are pretty good as 5-6 IT companies visit our campus yearly from the likes of TCS, L&T Infotech, Infosys, HCL, Wipro etc. They take our college students in huge amounts that is,50-150 students per company. The average salary offered to them is 3-4 Lakhs there are few companies who take 1-2 people those are Vodafone, Barclay's and Works Application, they offer between 9-35 Lakhs.

College Events

1

We don't have separate technical, cultural and sports fest all happen together under the name of VERVE it is an average fest with students from 10 colleges visiting mainly for sports, fashion show and dance competitions. Ours is a Marathi College so we have a festival called Gondhal, which is grand. Then we also have Garba Nights, Friday Pathshala, where every week we have some hobby to pursue. VERVE 2014 had film stars of GUNDAY visit our college.I.e.PC, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor which created a lot of buzz. Apart from that we have over 30 Technical Desks, more than 10 different sports and 7 different cultural and literature events in VERVE.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is scholarship of 25000 rupees for castes such as Jain, Sikh, Christian and Muslims the additional criteria is that the family income should be below One Lakh Yearly.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is very bad and exhausting as there are only slums outside and the college area is not quite big. The temperatures are soaring high and the air conditioning doesn't work more than half the time no one organizes parties as there is nothing closeby to hang out. The Girls/Boys ratio is 1:5 approximately which is bad the students are generally from lower middle class backgrounds and generally maharashtrians. So the students cannot gel with people from other castes which are in minority.

Hostel Facilities

1

There are no hostels provided by the college in Wadala. The PGs that stay nearby in the Antop Hill and Sangam Nagar region spend about 2-3.5k on their rentals every month. The hostel of college is in Nerul,it is 1 hour long journey from college to hostel and vice versa it can accommodate only 250 students at aa time.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are helpful to an extent but they are busy at the times we need help the seniors do help us out with interviews and academics though.

Faculty

2

The faculty was decent meaning that they have enough knowledge to carry out the curriculum but they lack proper communication skills.Over the course of 4 years i had about 30 odd teachers out of which only 5-6 could speak english fluently this part is the most frustrating.

After 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements depending upon their capabilities, staff recomendation, CGPA, and various other factors. Not everyone is provided with placements because 80% of the students prefer studying for masters. Companies like TCS, cipla, abott, and many more pharma companies visit here with average package of 4 lakh per annnum.
