Remarks

This college has a comparatively less space when compare to other colleges. I come from not so well doing family so it was a good choice for me as the facilities were also good and the place was also nominal

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of the college is detailed and advanced. The students are also given practical knowledge about the subjects with theory assignments.The examination system is also very good as there are two internal examinations and two external examinations every year. Students are given a good in depth knowledge about the subject

Course Fees: INR 40350 per year

Placement Experience

The college is not so good when it comes to placements. As this college is in the outskirts of the town the college does not have many companies coming in. The students themselves have to fill the jobs performer and then go for the interviews themselves

College Events

The college has a society in which students can take part and conduct their extra curricular activities. All the events and competitions are organised by the students themselves which makes them more responsible. Every student take part in the organising and participation which makes it more interesting

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure is not excellent but above average. The computer labs and other laboratories have all the equipments but the computers are not so advanced. There are some drawbacks but the college Tries their best to give quality education to the students

Hostel Facilities

The college do not offer any hostel facility for the students. As most of the students are from the state so they have their own arrangement of staying so there is no use of a separate college hostel.

Admission

The admission is given on the basis of the merit list in the college. The student has just to be 12th pass to get the admission and then the college take out the merit list

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Review of the college where i spend three long years and gathered every knowledge that is available there.

After my 12th I applied to two more other colleges than my college, they are Katwa College and Burdwan Raj college. But i preferred to get admitted in Chandrapur College. I heard from my seniors about the college and when I got admitted to the college and found that truely its the best place i can gain true knowledge. In other colleges there are many political issues but here in this college there is no political issues. I didn't got regection from other colleges rather than i choosed to be get admitted to this college. If someone needs to get admitted in this college he or she must get atleast 80% in the subject in the 12th then there will be no issues in the admission....Read More
