Course Curriculum Overview

The college has structured the course curriculum for two years. It offers various specialisations and i have selected political science. Each semester has five subjects. Some of the subjects are Indian social and political ideas, constitutional politics of India etc.

Placement Experience

The placement procedure is very well planned by the college. The students are motivated to face the recruitment process with confidence. Some companies visit the campus for recruitment process every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee charged by the college for the two year masters degree is ? 13,100. The students can make payment according to the year wise. The first year amount adds upto ? 7,900 and the second year amount is ? 5,200.

Campus Life

The college has smart classrooms for the students. The college also has a large library with various reference books. The college organises socio-cultural events for the students. It conducts orientation program for the freshers.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is pretty large. We are in contact with most of our batchmates. We share our career experiences and growth with each other and also with the college. The seniors were humble and kind.

Admission

The admission procedure is simple and very basic. The admission is entirely based on the merit list. The students have to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks. They are also supposed to have a bachelor?s degree.

The faculty members are very knowledgable. They are easily approachable. We can reach out to them to clarify our doubts. They help us in completing our projects and assignments. They guide us throughout the course.

GO FOR IT!!

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Placement Experience:

The placements in our college is decent. The average salary package a student used to get from our college was around 4lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. Mainly they used to bring non IT companies to the IT students. It was rare that IT companies used to comer in bulk.

This is the oldest Pharmacy college in India

Remarks:

The college is a good college it is situated beside the district hospital and there is morgue beside it. So students will se many dead bodies been taken. This may be problem for weak heart students. But I thing for a pharmacists he/she should be able to see dead bodies.

Remarks:

Institute of Pharmacy, Jalpaiguri is the 1st Pharmacy college in Asia. This is the only one government college in West Bengal. Labs infrastructure is very poor. 100% Placement are done. Our college is very good Pharmacy college in India.
