Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the fashion design course at this university is very vast as it covers everything from ancient fashion to modern fashion and a student is prepared in a wholesome manner. There are several practicals and examinations that are conducted in order to test a student's knowledge.

Accenture, Ericsson, Idea, Vodafone- These are a few of the many renowned companies that visit the campus every year to hire students. The package offered by them is very lucrative and along with that the job position and the working environment are also commendable.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college is indeed very feasible and affordable for any student as they charge a nominal amount from the students. Besides, the feasible fee structure there are several scholarship options available too.

Campus Life

To inculcate the feeling of belongingness and to make the college life of the students memorable, several extra curricular activities are organised by the college and these activities are highly appreciated by the students of the college.

The alumnis of the college are doing great in their lives and they are our inspirations because despite their busy schedules, they still take out time to visit us and share some great pieces of advice which can help us in shaping our career in a better way.

Admission

After completing my 10 + 2, I decided to pursue my interest in fashion designing therefore, when I found out about the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Fashion Design course offered at North East Frontier Technical University - [NEFTU], West Siang, it felt like a dream come true.

The teaching staff of the college is immensely skilled and they have worked with several renowned designers. Furthermore, they are here to impart the same level of education to us as well. I am glad to have this faculty.

Placement Experience:

Lucky that I am doing ECE as companies like Huawei and Samsung are among the companies that hires our branch students. I am not sure about placements and all as how and when they are done is little far from in the year which I am currently studying.

Very few students get placement in my college. Students from 6 semester are eligible for campus placement. NEEPCO and OIL are the one who frequently visit NERIST with placement offers. A minimum of 7.5 CGPA is needed for placement offers.

There are 3 exams conducted, for first exam eligibility is after 10th and the course will be of 6 years, for 2nd exam the eligibility is after 12th and the duration of the course will be of 4 years, and for the third the eligibility is after doing diploma and duration of the course will be 3 years, the application forms are available in the institute website and it's still accepting responses for some more time period

Admission:

The college takes in students on the basis of the scores in CAT or GMAT. I got admission in to the college through my CAT score. I secured 88 percentile and then went ahead for the interview round after getting selected. Then I could qualify in the interview round too and got admitted into the college.
