A good journey

A three-year long research course included all the research related fields. I was given the exposure throughout the curriculum to work on my thesis and submit the monthly report to my mentor. The presentations, vivas, examinations were taken thoroughly throughout.

The jobs were arranged at the end of last year, since this was a research field we could apply to the college and work as a faculty or a researcher. Various other branches included the agricultural Institute of India and among others were small organisational forms. Almost all the students got placed with an average package of Rs.15 lakhs per annum.

It was a very physical college and enables the students to become a professional in their research. Rs.50,000 was an approximate fees for the first year including the tuition fee. It didn?t include the accommodation and Transportation. For the resources we had to perform tests on the samples and they were not included in the fee also. No cash was accepted as the fee.

The libraries and laboratories were fully functional and equipped with the latest technologies. Students had extra co-curricular activities like music, theatre, art clubs. There were equal number of boys and girls at the campus. All came from different backgrounds.

The application form was available online at Rs.200 and I applied to this college through their official website. After filling up the academic details I was called upon the campus for an interview session where I was asked about my research and all the formalities. I cleared the round and got enrolled for the PhD agronomy.

All of the faculty was very helpful and gave the exposure to the students to work on their researches. They had huge experiences in dealing with all kinds of thesis and work. The nature was polite and were all cooperative.
