Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) was founded in 1959 as the Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is a leading aromatic plant research laboratory of CISR.). There are four research centres of this institute at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar, and Purana. It offers a Ph.D. program across six specializations. Admissions will be granted on the basis of CSIR UGC-NET followed by an interview.

As this is a Training Research provided by CSIR- Central Institue of Medical and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) for graduation Programme in Cultivation and Processing of Economically Important Medicinal and Aromatic Crops has the curriculum for 3 days.
As it is a research center, there are numerous type of courses are given where we can get training and we can also do this work in a very short time. The duration for every research training is very small and hence this results in enhancing skills in short duration.
The course involves so much knowledge and learning about the plants and crops.Its updated and changes with accordance.Genetics plant breeding is all about making plants more useful to humans.Its like production of new improved plant.
The course is flexible and there is more field visits and practical work so it makes overall course very interesting crop protection is all about managing plant diseases weeks and other pests. So that we can grow higher quality crops with minimal wastage.the exams are held semester wise and practicals marks are really important.
There is not exactly a course curriculum for PhD, I did have a few lectures, and attended a lot of seminars and workshops in and outside India. There are many requirements of the course, and it is very hectic. Most of my days were spent either in the lab or in the library.
Course curriculum is not applicable for researchers, there are mandatory seminars, workshops and practicals that I am attending. The lab is well-equipped and most of us are there from early morning to late night.
Ours is a research-based university which makes it very lively. The course curriculum at our institute is very practical and theoretical and students are also provided all kinds of knowledge and research materials.
