Rare courses to find in IICD

The curriculum is vast, it touches bases with theory and practical components. The students needs to put in everyday practice to be able to get a desirable score in their final semester exam which will include the assignments done, portfolio, theory and practical exam.

The placements of the students so far has been satisfying. Top notch firms come to the campus to select the suitable candidates for their company. The focus on placement is more than internships. For internships, students have to study and find out themselves where they can apply.

The annual fee for all the courses is Rs. 1,64,200/-. Indeed, it is an expensive deal to take up as there would be addition done if the students takes up hostel facilities. As I was already very convinced from beginning that I wanted to do only art, my parents were preparing for it since I was in 9th standard. However, if somebody's parents are unable to pay the amount, they can try for scholarship option.

Scholarship is given to the students in the basis of merit cum means. If the student performs exceptionally well in the entrance as well as interview and achieves a very high score, he has the possibility of getting some reduction in their fees amount on yearly basis.

Time to time workshops are conducted wherein guests are welcomed who gave a practical experience of the art they are doing as their profession. I would make sure that I never misses out on these activities.

There are only two notable alumnis from the Institute for now. The Institute is still in the process of contacting their fellow alumni to know their positions and what they have ended up doing after graduation.

The procedure for admission remains to be the same for all the courses. It begins with filling up the registration form and paying Rs. 1750/- for its submission. Then, comes the entrance exam that has two sections with varying weightage. After the student has cracked the exam, there comes the personal interview. Detailed information is shared on the official website but, a point to remember is that the student must be in a state of calm and relaxation to make sure that he is able to produce something satisfactory during the exam and be confident during the interview.

Allowing students to make mistakes and polishing the techniques is one of the keys that the professors believe that it's their duty or responsibility. The professors have been in working in their field for surplus years and now, impart whatever they have learned to their students. They allow the students to take their time and keep updating their portfolios.
