Remarks
Our college is the best college in its area. The campus is clean and green.The college has CCTV set up all around the campus even in the classrooms. The washrooms are cleaned twice daily. We have all the books and reference books in the library. Our Principal Madam is a highly respected lady whose philosophy of life enlightens all of us.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus was huge and was divided into 6 semesters. The core course was for 3 years. We were taught about the history of Bengali authors and poets and about their works. The novels and dramas that we are taught are extremely interesting and gives us a understanding of the age when those were written.
Placement Experience
Our college provides few job opportunities. Companies like Tata and Mahindra visited our college for placements. The college also provides very many internship opportunities for students to pursue. These internships builds our experience and even pay us monthly stipends.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of our college is feasible. We had to pay Rs 6,210 which is a satisfactory amount for the facilities that we are provided. For further benefits , our college provides scholarships to the capable students for smoothening their academic career.
Campus Life
Students of our college can engage themselves in various extra curricular activities. Students can also participate in inter college tournaments arranged by University Of Calcutta. Students are even taken out in academic tours. The labs of our college is clean and well maintained.
Alumni/Alumna
Unlike seniors of other colleges, we had very helpful seniors who were extremely cooperative and eager to help. We even arranged various events and functions with the seniors. The seniors even helped us with study materials and shared their experiences in the college. We shared a great bond with our seniors.
Admission
The eligibility criteria for general students taking admission in Bengali Honours is that they have to score an aggregate of 55% marks with 55% marks in Bengali. For admission, I had to fill the form online. The college published the merit lists on the pre-stated date. Students whose name are published on the merit lists are called for counselling. The final selected candidates take admission.
Faculty
We had probably the best faculty members. They are not only good teachers but also very good human beings. Their teachings instilled within us the yearning to conduct indepth analysis and research in Bengali Literature. All of our teachers were friendly and cooperative. They guided us through the dark and made our syllabus look interesting.
