Remarks

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences - [RMLIMS], Lucknow is the best medical college to me. Here not just academics are given prefrence but students' mental growth is kept at the top of everything.

Course Curriculum Overview

Medical Council of India (MCI) prepares the course curriculum for all the medical colleges in India and RMLIMS is supposed to follow the same curriculum. Examinations are conducted on the basis of semesters.

Placement Experience

Placement here are based on students' performance. After the completion of regular studies before examination one year of mandatory Internship is a must for every student studying at medical college. Also during the same duties are assigned to the students at the hospital.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences - [RMLIMS], Lucknow is a government college the fees is structured by the same. The fees for one year is around 49000 INR, which is quite nominal for the students.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities like sports day and annual meets are organised. Workshops and the mainstream seminars are organised by the management to keep students into practicals and not just written knowledge.

After appearing for NEET UG examination held by the MCI I qualified the same and was eligible for getting a government college. I sat for counseling and got admission in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences - [RMLIMS], Lucknow for my MBBS course program.

Faculty of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences - [RMLIMS], Lucknow for MBBS is really good and hold experience of atleast 30+ years. They push students more towards the practical knowledge.

The curriculum is more inclined towards a theoretical side and lacks practical exposure. In the present scenario, having practical knowledge is a must if you want to survive in the industry, which my college didn't prepare me for. However, there are various opportunities across the campus. We have AIC inside the campus, which may offer an internship to the students if they reach out to them.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year you are eligible for placement sheat in college. The highest package was 1.5 cr approx and average 7-8 lakh. Percentage of students to get placement should be around 1/4 of overall students means . I will apply for both on campus and off campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.

Placement Experience:

Actually we do internship in apex hospital and we have 100% placement. We have 100% placement here every year students get job in apex hospital and also in other places. But so such companies or anything come for placement. Average package is 5 lakhs per annum. After getting degree I will prepare for Norcet exam .

DR RMLIMS Lucknow College Review

So admission to this college (and in general any other medical college and course) is through NEET. After clearing the exam you are allotted an ALL INDIA RANK, which provides you eligibility to sit in counseling and select a college. Mine AIR was 4011 which is a very decent one to get admission to top medical College of countries. Since I didn't wanted to leave the state so I applied for counseling of the state. KGMC is the top medical college of the state. Earlier GSVM kanpur used to be the second choice for candidates,but from when this college came into existence (in 2017) it soon left GSVM behind and became the second priority of candidates. This small time growth of college fascinated me to keep this college asy second choice. Also the academics of this college is very popular for good reasons. I applied for two colleges KGMU Lucknow and Dr. RMLIMS Lucknow. I choose this college over other college because of its location, academics, good patient load, clean and green environment.
