Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is meticulously planned by a team of highly qualified medical professors. The course includes everything which is required to be an efficient medical professional. The course focusses on the practical application of theories.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities provided by our college are the best. Also, there is a provision of one rotatory internship after the end of 4.5 years. The stipend for this internship is around 23,500 rupees.
College Events
Our college organises a 5-day annual fest called PYREXIA which is the biggest fest organised by any college of Uttarakhand. The fest has several competitions like sports, poetry, singing and dancing. There is a literary society called Abhivyakti and a mental health awareness group Anumodan.
Fee Structure And Facilities
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh is a government-funded college which was established under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. So it is logical that the fee of such a college would be very low so that everyone could afford it . Thus, the fee for course B.Sc nursing honours is also very nominal. The fee has to be deposited one time at the time of admission. The fee is around 6 thousand rupees.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of our college is well built and maintained. The library has multiple copies of the important medical books and many international journals are also available. There are labs which have the latest technologies and also a wifi-enabled 50 seater conference room.
Hostel Facilities
There is a separate hostel for girls and boys. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. The mess offers nutritious and healthy meals. The students can avail the facilities of wifi connection and indoor sports.
Admission
In order to take admission in the B.Sc nursing honours course, I had to clear the All India Institute of Medical Sciences entrance exam. The exam was quite tough but with diligence nothing is impossible.
Faculty
The faculty of our college is highly talented and many of them have closely worked with big medical institutions. They not only teach us the theory but also give us life lessons. They prepare us for the challenges which we will face in future. They perform their responsibility seriously.
