Course Curriculum Overview

We used to have many model exams before our semesters. It was kind of too much but it sure made our subjects thorough. Course structure is well formatted we were taught everything like a proper literature subject.

Placement Experience

Many placement opportunities are given. Professors make sure you have improved your self and your professional life improved. You will be satisfied to get this college. You will be given non -government job opportunity also after you complete your course.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course duration is 2 years. First year I paid 17,000/- and second year was 14,000/-. And altogether I spent close to 32,000/- rupees. I did not feel the fee was expensive. The fee paid included books, tuition fee, hostel everything.

Campus Life

Inside the campus it's very good here and I love this place. You can always chill in the campus. You will enjoy here. Campus is clean. We have sports court, seating areas and hostels. We conduct cultural programmes too.

Admission

I did my Masters in Bengali from Bankim college. I had an aggregate marks of 60% from my Bachelors. The eligibility is 50% marks scored in higher secondary examinations(10+2) for Bachelors course. College selects students based on merit only.

Faculty

Faculty sure did help us with our education. They supported us even in sports. Attendance is compulsory you must have a minimum of 75% attendance logged in. We had this one professor who always went that extra mile to teach us better.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Honest Review about Praxis Business School

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
