Course Curriculum Overview

In first year students are taught about all the basic concepts of engineering.The whole program is divided in to 8 semesters.There is not much examination pressure or anything like that as the course is not very heavy.

Placement Experience

The average package of the college for B.Tech is around 3.5 lac to 4 lac which is average.The companies like Tata consultancy services, Wipro and IBM visit the college for recruitment of the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total academic/tuition fee for the course is around 5 lac which is feasible and students can afford it without any kind of financial burden according to me.Students are also provided with scholarships.

Campus Life

There are various kind of workshshops conducted by faculty members of the college regarding the field of technology and computer science.The workshops are very beneficial and help the students to understand things better.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are good as the amount of fees they are given.The rooms are in sharing and are not very spacious.There is no air conditioners in rooms and students have to use their own internet.

Admission

Candidates seeking admission must have passed their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks and have appeared in JEE mains or CEE and have cleared the cut off for the examiantions.

The faculty of the college is very knowledgeable and are alwasy there to help the students with any kind of problem or doubt regarding the subjects and concepts.The professors are very co operative and helpful.

Placement Experience:

Mainly students from 5th semester are recommended for campus placements and many local comapanies have made a visit in our college Highest package provided is around 8 lakh per annum and the average package being provided is around 3.5 lakh to 4 lakh per annum Percentage of students being placed are around 50 to 60 percent all total My plans after getting degree is to pursue mba from highly reputated college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty members were quite slow in some aspects. Yet they need to work on the staff for the admission department. Would definitely look up for improvement for the coming sessions. Haven't had any class yet due to covid but they say it's gonna start soon. Hope we don't lose out this year.

Remarks:

Students from entire North East Region used to come to JB College. Many also came from northern province too. The feasibility, faculty and the campus were the centre of attraction for the students. I owe to college for everything that I am today.

A brief review on Golaghat Engineering college

The college provides admission to students who are from Assam state only. The necessary document to avail of the seat is a PRC certificate of Assam. The college grants admission upon clearing CEE (Assam) examination. When I gave the exam I scored around 110 and the cut off was around 60-70 marks. ASTU from my perspective

We have to pass the CEE exam and after the counseling process we are allotted to any college under ASTU. The application form , application fees , application dates are available at the official ASTU website at www.astu.in . Provide reservation for backward classes such as SC ,ST ,OBC NCL, specially abled student,EWS. The frequency and timing of exam in the institute are good enough.Also the difficulty level is quite good. Eligibility of the course is : Candidate should be pass class 12 exam from science stream and Maths is compulsory.
