Remarks

Jadavpur university has maintained his position of being a respectable academic institution. It has good ranking and provides better job placement. The teachers hold a lot of intellectual value. But, the admission procedure is very harrowing. We had to wait for a long time outside for the admission because the authority was taking admission for two departments simultaneously. So there was chaos. The announcement system of names during admission was inadequate. I selected this institute because the teaching is very good and it helps students to enhance their intellectuality. I know about this institute because this institute is very famous and prominent. So I didn't go for any web site or blog.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I wanted to study English literature. The number of faculty is obviously less than students, but that is more than enough. The faculties are qualified enough and very satisfactory. The term exams are taken through assignments by teachers and end semesters are held. It is not difficult to pass unless one studies.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 1200 per year

Placement Experience

The students are employable after they complete their masters. The placements likely take place in sociology department. As I am an English student I don't know about the package but I heard it is handsome. The average students getting placement is high. I want to go to research after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike policy didn't affect our university. The fees is very student friendly. I didn't get any financial assistance.

Campus Life

The annual fest is very jovial. The classrooms are very neat and spacious. The library is very wonderful. It has very rare books. The sports are held on and off. Many social groups are run by the students like photography club, hiking club and so on. The history students maintain a website on partition archive.

Remarks:

The teachers are very friendly. Supply of clean drinking water is available always. Rooms are large, clean, fitted with lights and fans. There's also mic available for large classrooms. The rooms have their specific numbers.

One of the best Girl's College in Town.

Remarks:

No negative comments. The college is one of its own of a kind. It is surrounded by a plethora of greenery which helps the college to be brimmed in fresh air. 24×7. There's no problem at all. The transportation and communication is also of top notch.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score. The cutoff in the internal exam is around 70% for General Category and for CUET, the cutoff varies yearly....Read More
