Karnataka CET. The college is one of the best in Karnataka and Placements at almost 100%. Its in center of city and easily accessible.

Good, Comparable to IITs. Mine was Mechanical Engineering cadre and hence electives are Flexible Manufacturing System, Manufacturing Processes in addition to the general subject of Mechanical Engineering.

There were no internships offered during 2002-06. Companies to directly hire us. I out of self interest used to visit industries to gain practical knowledge during semester gaps.

Almost 80% are placed. But irony is the remaining people got better offers from good companies. Companies like Yahoo, Microsoft, ABB, Infosys, Cognizent, Tavant, BEL, came during those days. Offer used to be around 5L to 10L per annum

College fests used to extravagant. There used to be two types of fests:1. Departmental and 2. College level. Department related used to full of technical stuff like GD, quiz and end with dance and such cultural programmes. College level, we used to celebrate at Gnana Bharathi central auditorium and it generally used to be inter collgiate.

Its a government college. Hence fees are nominal compare to any other college in karnataka. Due to which many poor and meritorious student join this college. College got a 100 year legacy and you go too any reputed industry you can find one person from UVCE.

Being from general category, I could not get any scholarship. But I got sponsored by Mechanical Alumnus association. The college has got a very good library and hence spending money on books used to be minimal.

Only merit students used to opt for this college as it is one best colleges in India. No ragging. 100% gender equality. Friendly atmosphere and hence I called it as transformational experience.

Hostel was not good or not maintained properly. But mess food used to be good or that what my friends used to say. As I was staying in our own house, I could not get a chance to experience it.

We have a alumni association and we do meet once in a year. Recently we had a meet at Palace grounds. Association also planning to celebrate the 100th year celebration grandly.

Curriculam used to nicely structured with enough time for us to chill out with friends. Best and pleasantly memorable is Industrial during which we visited many of the Industries in Central part of India.

Experienced faculty and they are highly qualified. Being a govt college, it hires only qualified faculty. I cherish listening to Makam sir, who used to teach Thermo Dynamics.
