Course Curriculum Overview

Ph.D in Applied Mathematics is a very particular course and requires a lot of attention from a student however, no matter how detailed it is, it still does not take a toll on the students. The examination structure is also student friendly.

Placement Experience

Companies like Bank of Baroda, Oyo, Whirlpool visit the campus once a year to hire students for various job profiles. It is indeed a great opportunity for the students as they offer a lucrative package and a promising future.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college is extremely feasible for a student as they have to deposit ?1,00,000 for the complete three year, full time, on-campus course. It is indeed affordable and therefore, value for money.

Campus Life

To rejuvenate the students and help them feel relaxed for a while, there are several extracurricular activities organised in the form of cultural evenings, seminars, visits etcetera. These activities are the best part of one's college life.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of the college is strong and all of these alumnis are so successful in their respective lives. They often visit us at alumni meets and other events and tell us about their journey and how we also can do better.

Admission

At Defence Institute of Advanced Technology - [DIAT], Pune I am pursuing Ph.D in Applied Mathematics and I've to say that they have the easiest admission procedure and the administrative staff is also very helpful.

Faculty

Teachers and the administrative staff of the college are really helpful and because of the less number of students they give personal attention to each and every student. It is an honor to learn and grow under their benign presence.

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources

Good Institute for quality education.

I got admission in this course after qualifying my B.Tech with 75 percent of marks. Admission in this course course was done on basis of competitive exams and interviews.
