Course Curriculum Overview

The college is under Burdwan University and follows its course curriculum. Semester wise exams are held following the cbcs system. It is well structured and allows the students to get the best possible learning from a wide range of topics.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities were few but despite that the college tries its best for the students. Internships our course didn't require but seminars, lecatures webinars are held by the college for the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible students from different backgrounds has access to this college. For a course of three years the entire fees is a bare minimum of around Rs10,000. The students hence get great education.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are held for the students to enhance their talent, creativity and also help them to break out of the monotony of their lives. Cultural and educational activities are organized as well.

Admission

I choose English over any other course because I love this subject and wanted to pursue it further. The admission into this college is merit based. Depending upon your marks on the qualifying examinations you would be enrolled in the college.

The faculty of our college was highly qualified and teach with utmost effort and dedication. My teachers were very helpful and friendly. They tried to teach in the best possible way to enhance and enrich our knowledge.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

Teachers are very good and the atmosphere of the college is very good, which helps students to concentrate on their studies. Each department has its own departmental library. And the college has a core library which has lots of books on each topic of each subject. The teachers of this college are very helpful.
