Review of my College (Guwahati College)

My college was really good, infrastructure was well built and furnished. Surroundings were clean and the faculty was well qualified and experienced in teaching. Allover campus life was really appreciable.

I was studying B.A (English) and the course was by Guwahati University as the college was affiliated to it. The course was of three years and was divided into 6 Semistars. Before the final Semistars exams we for proper preparation had to give Assessment/Sessional Examination and the Marks these exams were included in final results of the Semistars.

College provided us with job and placement training programs to do better professionally in our job. However placements from the college are minimal. Students of last year searched for jobs on their own..I chose to do my post graduate after completing my graduation from here.

The fees structure of my college was economical for us. And it was feasible to be paid. The fees was divided semistar wise. We have to pay every Semistar and the fee was some 7,500-8000 to be paid semisterly.

Scholarships opportunities in my college were provided based on the caste and income of the parents of the students. Also options for free waiver was also available in my college for students with lower income families.

In my college various extracurricular activities use to take place we were always encouraged to be active and play sports and games in the college along with being good academically. Various workshops or seminars were also use to take place to enhance knowledge in a better way among us.

I filled an online application for admission and The admission in this college was on the basis of my merit in the year 10+2 the basic eligibility criteria for admission in a particular course was to be qualified in 10+2 with minimum of 60% in the subject of interest (Graduation) Admission in [BA] (English) is on the basis of merit and the further selection of me was after counselling.

The faculty was well qualified teacher and were amazing teachers. They were adroit and were knowledgeable enough about every topic of there subjects. They helped us a lot very fluent and the best in English professionally.
