Piyush Bhatt's Review On Galgotias University - [GU], Greater Noida

I took AIEEE but since I couldn't score good enough to get CSE in a government college, I decided to opt for Galgotias university. It had been established only a year earlier but it was a part of Galgotias educational institutions providing quality education and a secured future. It was one of the prime reasons for me to join this university.

The course curriculum was rich and diverse. We enhanced our knowledge in different aspects of Computer science.From the networking subjects to different computer languages, we had a top quality curriculum.

Different companies visit the university with big names like Infosys, cognizant, wipro, Tech Mahindra being the prime attractions. Stipend offered varies from 10k to 20k.

Placement and job opportunities are very good in Galgotias university. In its first ever batch, they achieved an almost 100% placement mark and are reaching the same mark for the second consecutive year as well.The package differs from company to company and is 3.5 LPA on an average.

Different fests are organised in the university, be it a technical, cultural or the annual fest with big celebrities attending them. Sports fest is another major event along with celebration of different festivals and important days.

Fee structure is a bit to the expensive side. It was 1.6 LPA for me. (I'm a btech CSE student)It differs for different courses but is definitely on the costlier side. Although scholarships are awarded but they too are limited.

Different scholarships are offered but there are no loan facility offered by the university as of now. However educational loans can be taken from the banks.

The hostel is of top quality along with the food served. Different private hostels and PGs are available in the vicinity. The fees varies with the type of the room availed. It is on average 70k pa for three seater rooms and 80k pa for two seater rooms. This includes accommodation, food and transport.

The faculty of the college is very determined in providing quality education to the students. Apart from being punctual, they're always ready to help the students in whatever way possible, apart from some exceptions.
