Remarks

This is one of the best open universities in India. My experience with them has absolutely great. I have learnt a lot from the faculties and still look forward to learn more. This place is highly recommended for distance learning.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course Curriculum is skillfully designed to gain the interest of the learners. It is a perfect mix of practical based knowledge as well as theoretical. The course objective is to enhance the students with skills that are required for IT industries. The programme constitutes of 22 courses with each accounting for 4 credits and a project work accounting for 8 credits. The courses offered cover all the required aspects like various computer languages C,C++ and Java and also Computer Networks, Image Processing, Cloud Computing and much more. As for the assessment of a course, it is a mix of Assignments, Practicals and End Semester Examinations. A student has to put in 30 hours of study hours for completion of 1 credit which can be in any form. For me, this was not much hectic but a very pleasant studying experience.

Placement Experience

Since this is an open university, we can apply to any of the companies across India. We have learnt all the skills required for industry placement. We are equipped with all the basic knowledge that leading IT sectors require.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is very much affordable and is structure keeping in mind the student backgrounds. My fees for the BCA course was around Rs.30000. This included all the aspects like enrollment fees, exam fees, course fees, practical fees and marksheet fees.

Campus Life

Their study centers are exceptional. The digital library is a great source for study materials and much more. It helped with a lot with my assignments and project work. They also have a community radio known as JNAN TARANGA which is a great initiative.

Admission

Admission to this college is based on Merit List/Entrance exam/Online Application. I followed a few basic steps have to be followed for the online application. I kept keep ready all the required documents and educational certificates and used the online registration link for the same. Computer Science is one of the most promising career paths in the current times. The opening of various IT and Software industries in the country as well as globally, the demand for software engineers and IT professionals has increased considerably. Hence, according to me, this is one of the best paths to walk on in the present era.

The faculty is well qualified for the delivery of the courses. The educational backgrounds are exceptional with post graduate degrees in Msc and Mtech. The clarity they have in their specializations is amazing and they forward it to their students with a great enthusiasm. I especially connect a lot to Sruti Sruba Bharali ma'am and learnt a lot about image processing from her.

College campus placement review

Likes

This college has very intelligent and polite facilities. They r so nicely teaching that everyone easily understand the topic.
I am not bad student of this college and I give more of this year.
Placement services are provided by our college in multiple places.

Dislikes

This college has so slow work experience and not done any work by time.
Some of the faculties are like they don't have time to hear our problems.

Placement Experience:

For 4th semester to students become eligible for campur placements. Tata, microsoft, godrej,amul,etc, etc. Companies are offering very nice package. They give 10lpa per anum. 70 to 80% of students got placement in our college. I am going work in refinery or ONGC

I loved this curriculum because it's is it understand and teach give the curriculum is a demonstration and slave the basic course because I love to do mathematics and that's why I choose the subject. The classes of our class is doing by teachers as well as blackboard sent using computer also.

My Overview about the College

Likes

Our department i.e Botany has well experienced and knowledgeable Professor's who guided us both practically and theoretically which helps to gain knowledge at a faster rate.
The most important thing is that our department always go for practical experience i.e thorough trip.
The department often conducts seminars and guest lecturers.

Dislikes

As a student of Arya Vidyapeeth College, it is very difficult to be part of our college, as the department is very popular.
Due to high popularity, the college campus is very crowded, which sometimes leads to overcrowding.
There is very limited seats in the hostel, the outstation students faces many difficulties to stay nearby the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course i.e department of Botany because the department ensuring a strong theoretical foundations along with the practical experience. The course prepares well for studies as the academic results is always good which will make graduates well equipped for jobs. Some sections of the course should be updated to meet the latest technology, more guests lectures and internships should be provided to the students. The exams clustering of multiple exams should be within times which releases unnecessary stress, the exams are conducted easy to insane which is very challenging for the students.

My thoughts about my college

Likes

Faculty members of our college is very good
The thing i like that teacher in our college use projector to teach us
In our college, the students get to join various seminars, which college authorities provide us with time to time

Dislikes

The main thing which i disliked about our college is that our college campus is small if you compare it with other colleges
In our college we dont have clean toilets, and the toilets smells very bad
The next thing is that there were various construction going on in our college so for now thr college environment is healthy enough for a student to perform

As i want to appear for civil services examinations in future, so for me political science subject is helpful for my future career, in our department out faculty trach us in a decent manners, but there are some improvements needed with time

Life at AMCH

Likes

The exposure is really good, the daily input of patients is large
The campus is big and it is bigger than most medical colleges.
It is one of the oldest medical college of the county and the oldest medical college of the whole northeast India.

Dislikes

It is located in upper Assam so connectivity becomes an issue for AIQ students
The classroom could have be bigger than the actual size

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is not at all easy like all the other courses but since this course deals with life and death situations I would say the practical applications introduction has lead to a better side of this course. This course is completedly real world based curriculum. The faculty members are well equipped to everything they teach and the methods currently focus on application based studies. This course has many exams each month and therefore the student has to study properly.

I liked the overall environment of our college
My department (Geography) Faculty members are very good.
The teachers not only help in academics but also guide us for our better well-being.

Dislikes

Construction is going on in the college campus.
Though it has gain the autonomous tag still didn't get any such benefit.
The toilets are very unhygienic and have very bad odour.

Our course is very easy to understand anyone who is new to this branch or doesn't have any idea about geography can easily understand the topics through the guidance of our faculty members. They provide extra classes for better understanding of the students.

Patient flow is good so there is lots to learn and they are very friendly if u talk to them nicely
Teachers are expirienced and always eager to teach

Dislikes

If are a person who loves to enjoy fests and gatherings it is not for u . I think u can only enjoy if u know the local artists of assam
Attendence is quite a big issue here most the dept are super strict and they will not arrange extra classes for u to makeup your attendance

After every posting there will be assessments which is usually taken bedside and classes in posting are also taken bedside so the exposure is quite good . Especially derma dept they explain the cases very nicely

Faculty members are very helpful. They provide you with needful things.
During my PG dissertation course my mentor helped me a lot. While completing my thesis.

Dislikes

They were quite very serious about the attendance. They were not negligible towards it.
As like other departments there were favouritism which was not performed by every teacher but some among them.
Faculty was serious about cheating and does take hard steps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

They were efficient for our future. The course included creative writing, Aranslation studies, American studies, Feminist texts, British literature, Indian literature, Post colonialism and others. They helped in development of language and skills.

The course of our college is veey good. If a student want to take any course in medical they can take it easily with the entrance exam taken from government with only 50% . If I talk about the area which can be improved then the timing of college have been improved.
