Remarks

The college is well-acclaimed and celebrated in the field of research and programs related to it. It is one of the best institutes in India that gives the students a great opportunity in their preferred field to pursue it.

Course Curriculum Overview

All the Ph.D students are trained under a program which consists of course work, consisting of lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, demonstrations and project work. We had written and oral examinations.

Placement Experience

The students go on to pursue academic careers in India and abroad mainly with Ph.D positions. The students even opt to start working as faculty members in scientific institutions in India and abroad. Rarely do they opt for a non academic career. The institute also has summer internships and fellowship programs.

College Events

Since we had students from all cultures and backgrounds, the college celebrates all sort of festivals and days on campus. There are also science fests, seminars and workshops, etc. hosted by the students and teachers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college fee is quite nominal for such an advanced and revolutionary college. The college aims to generate the best of researchers in the country and with all the facilities that they offer, they are only charging around INR 6000 a year, for 5 years.

Campus Life

The college has state of the art facilities in the area of specialization, for the research programs. The library consists of all books necessary for one's thesis submission and investigation. There are campus parties for the students.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel accommodation is very congenial and secure for the students. It is well furnished and has double occupancy rooms. The student can even choose for single occupancy but that charges more. They have been provided with 24-hour water and electricity supply.

Admission

The selection is rigidly on the basis of merit. The college conducts a a written test which one needs to qualify. After which, there is an interview that I had to sit for. Only the top qualifying candidates get admission in the college post selection.

Faculty

Ph.D. students are involved by their research supervisors in advanced research programs. The faculty aims to stimulate creativity and a passion for careful and rigorous investigation in the students. Once the research work is completed, we had to submit a synopsis of the work done to a committee of five TIFR faculty members for assessment.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

i had seen Companies visiting like Entrata, Airtel, Honeywell etc..... Highest package till now for currently year is 15 lacks. I had also seen students who are doing interships and are placed there only.

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Placement Experience:

Tata Group, Reliance Group, Aditya Birla Group and some other niche names from corporate are the ones who come for placements at law college. Since every year 300 students pass out and 150-175 of them get jobs from the college placement and the average salary offered is around 6-7 lakhs. Highest though last year was of 20LPA.

I took admission in this institute after qualifying my B. Sc degree from a recognised university. Students who wants to take admission in this institute have to qualify their bachelor degree from science stream in any of the branch - Biology, physics or chemistry. TIFR conducts its own one of a kind thorough placement test. I, in the same way as other different competitors, took the test and qualified for Integrated M.Sc.- PhD course.
