Course Curriculum Overview
In oceanography we deal with the all aspects of the oceans. This is a very diverse subject, and you need to really focused while learning the syllabus. Basically reasearch papers and programs are included in my syllabus
Placement Experience
The placements are given under the guidelines of the government. NIO is very concerned about the future of the students and give their best when it comes to providing best jobs and internships to all the students. Salary ranges from 40k to 80k
College Events
The campus is situated in a very beautiful place of Panaji. Every Sunday we go to beaches and explore churches which is a well known element of Goa. Our mornings are very busy with college related works mainly practicals but evenings are really enjoyable with friends.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As everything here is looked by the government of India and CSIR. They have focussed in taking less money as fees from every student irrespective of their caste. For PhD they just charge 14k after every two semesters.
Campus Life
There are several activities performing in the college in which we can participate. Winning them,we get prizes and certificates from the campus. We also have swimming training and competition once a year.
Admission
I got matched with the minimum eligibility criteria of the college. Applicant lists was very long thus getting admission here is really tough but best. After shortlisting my name for the college they sent me an offer letter
Faculty
All the teachers of this Institute are genius. They have the explanation of every topic you ask related to oceanography. They rise the concentration level with their method of explaining. Few of them are still working with the government in order to make reasearch programmes.
