The National Institute of Oceanography, is an autonomous research organization in India to undertake scientific research and studies of special oceanographic features of the Northern Indian Ocean. To be a part of this institution, the candidate must have post graduate degree. Then they will have to apply for the PhD program and will be selected on the basis of entrance exam and interview.

A student needs to qualify the entrance exam of CSIR or UGC NET JRF and also a person is having basic qualifications with sufficient training of 2-3 months is necessary. Then one can apply for the application online. I fitted in the first one, so I got selected for the interview round which happens only once in a year. Luckily I cleared that also and got an admission in the institute.
The college is one of the finest college in Goa. It has all the facilities which no college would have and all of them are available for the students. Not only has that it also provided the best atmosphere for a student to study.

According to the marks we got in B.Sc admission was granted to us. Seats were allotted for the general and SC/ST category seperately. As college was the best for oceanography courses, students from whole over the admission seek admission here.
I got matched with the minimum eligibility criteria of the college. Applicant lists was very long thus getting admission here is really tough but best. After shortlisting my name for the college they sent me an offer letter
