My journey in Pearl Academy

My journey in Pearl Academy was pretty satisfactory. All the teachers and other faculty members were very helpful and took good care of our necessities. Our HOD Prasanna Baruah sir was very supportive and guided us through out.

The under graduation course for fashion designing is for four years and we had to give two semesters in each year. Apart from that sometimes we were given some assignments and lab works to do. All the teachers were really very friendly with us which made our journey smooth and happening.

The placement program at my department was pretty satisfactory. 99% students of my batch got placed in recruiting companies like Aditya Birla Group, BBC, Times of India, CapGemini, Future Group, Myntra and many more.

My entire course in Pearl Academy cost 18.20 Lakh including the GST. The amount can be changed on a year to year basis. We didn't need to pay the entire fees altogether. according to the facilities that this college offer to the students, the fee amount is quite reasonable.

There are two types of scholarships that Pearl Academy offers, one is merit scholarship and the other is means scholarship. The institution offers 100% scholarship for 5 and 50% for 20 meritorious and creative students. Students whose annual gross parental income is less than 6,00,000 can apply for the means scholarship.

The college often organised activities like, creating a fashion portfolio. They also gave us chance to showcase our fashion skills at the India Fashion Week. We also attended global fashion shows such as London and Paris Fashion Week. These opportunities really helped us to enhance our fashion techniques and made us more capable.

Our seniors were extremely helpful and compassionate toward us. They helped us in various ways. They shared their previous experiences and also helped us with the projects. They always tried to make us feel comfortable whenever there was an interaction with them. I'm still in touch with few seniors of mine.

My admission was expedited through the entrance exam and then a personal interview, conducted by the institution. The institution generally conducts entrance exam for the aspiring candidates and those who get selected then have to appear for a personal interview. My entrance test Was divided into two categories, Design Aptitude Test and General Proficiency Test.

The faculty members of my college were very helpful and they were always there whenever we needed any help. All other professors were highly qualified. The ambiance of the college is really pleasant and student friendly.
