Remarks
The admission process was quite good. I took an online entrance exam that had some unrelated questions to the course, such as physics, math's, etc. I was a bit misguided with the process as I had applied for graphic design but I was enrolled in communication design, so I'd like to suggest keeping it a bit clearer. The application form, fees, and dates for everything will be guided to you by the campus assistant themselves.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen the respected course as I had an interest in graphic design and my cousins were seniors at Pearl Academy, so it seemed right at that moment. The faculty members are helpful till some point, but they are very biased and rude after a certain point. The teaching methods of a few teachers are amazing. Term exams were held twice every semester. The faculty reviews your work, but again, they are biased towards students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is a bit high as my course costs 25 lacs for 4 years. The cost of studying is also quite expensive as hostel fees and normal expenses are a bit expensive. They do offer scholarships during the time of admission.
Campus Life
On the campus, there is not much happening. The annual festival that takes place is Pearl Utsav and it's conducted in either August or September. As Bangalore is a new campus, no fests have taken place yet. They provide all the books and journals you are looking for, which are suitable for your course. Amenities in the classroom they provide are projectors, air conditioners, and Wi-Fi that fluctuates a lot. There are no extra-curricular activities on campus because there is no campus. It's just a building with 5 floors. The students had to beg the teachers for a badminton court. Plan Clan is a student-run social group that organizes festivals and clubs such as dance clubs and fashion shows.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are not at all good. They say that they'd provide laundry, 3 meals a day, Wi-Fi, personal fridge, common television, etc. but the laundry they provide is not good as they don't clean the clothes properly. The meals served there are not good and a bit unhygienic. There is no personal fridge, just 2 common fridges that too many students steal food from. The common television doesn't work half the time. Housekeeping is good. The geezer used to stop working every 2 days and no one would fix it. The lock on the doors was mostly broken. The meal quality was good some days, and some days it did not look like people had fallen sick because of the food they used to provide there. They charged 20,000/month. That was very expensive, too, for double-sharing rooms with no facilities provided. The locality was Brigade Road, your space.
