Remarks

Our college is the best for maintainenceIt is completely in the students hand to choose which side as there is a good and a bad path in our college.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam is NATA , I scored 89 / 200 This is the only entrance exam to be written if someone wants to become an architect, You need to stay in contact with the site www.manipal.edu You need to register in the college with some fee may be of 600. They will ask you to send your marks list before a specified date They will guide you by sending mail to your concerned email id.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course which i choose is very hard to teach, as an architect needs creative , asthetic, hardworking, logical and a few other factors to be taken care of, but i feel my college has fullfilled all of them. The course is pre planned by some of the senior most members.Overall i feel that the course planning was done good.

Internships Opportunities

There are many internships available in our college they will be notified during the course some may be of years ansd some may be of months, But for my architecture course 5th year is compulsary to attend internship course.

Placement Experience

4

For an architect there will be very less placements. But i can assure you that you will get a job soon once the course is completed. If other course is choosed in my college then there will be many placements in top most companies.

College Events

4

We have celebrate mainly traditional events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I feel the fee structure is a bit expensive but it is worth it. For my course i pay 275000 And for engineering it is 240000 and for medical it is 700000 (these figures are approximate)The fees will be increasing every year for the new joiners only.

Fees and Financial Aid

For my course there are very less for medical and engineering there will be more scolarships. As far as i know there is a fee concesion for students in local.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel and mess facilites are the best in India. Our college was rated the best for hostel facilites by many surveys, sites. Our college provides double sharing, triple sharing and even single roomsThe hostel fee for single is 100000 For double sharing it is 60, 000For triple sharing it is 40, 000The mess fee is 40, 000 per anuum.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors tell that the college is improving is standards every year, Many new changes are being implimented in the course as well as in the maintainence every year.

Exam Structure

We have 2 sesionals and finals for every semister We have some juries in the finals . Overall the exams were not very frequent . They are taken in a good gap.

Faculty

4.5

We have a very good and experienced faculty. I can assure you that the faculty we have will be the best compared to other colleges We even get a very good set of visiting faculty.

Placement Experience:

Architecture is completely a solo thinking work we can work in groups as well but if a structure is designed by a single architect then it has a taste of that particular person but if its a group then all will be mixed and have different kind of brains giving different ideas soo an individual can manage even if he doesnt get a placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews, external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).

Since our HOD changed this year, I'm not sire about when the placements are available, most probably would be for the 5th year students so 9th sem onwards. Not sur3 about which companies either, highest package would be 8000 I'm guessing, we don't get paid much. My plan is to switch courses, this was absolutely useless to me :)
