Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum and syllabus that the institute follows is strictly in line with the the guidelines of Council of Architecture New Delhi. The institute is affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University and follows its system of examination. As per the university examinations are conducted in a semester wise manner that is in total five years of the course 10 semester examinations are conducted making it 2 semester examination in a single year.

Placement Experience

3

Placements or jobs are something which a student has to manage on its own because each student has his own kind of a dream job in their mind. Though the institute provides placement through campus drive most of the students look for opportunities on their own. Support in terms of internship is provided by the institute.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee charged by our institute is quite feasible when you compare it with the fee charged by other private colleges for the same program. For the five year duration of the program one has to pay around Rs 3 to 3.5 lacs. The fees is to be submitted at the start of each academic year and it stands to be around Rs 60, 000.

Fees and Financial Aid

As per my knowledge the Karnataka state government run scholarship programs for various categories of student who are original resident of the state of Karnataka. Apart from that the Central government also extends scholarship through its various schemes. Educational loans can also be availed if required from any of the commercial banks.

Campus Life

4

The institute organises a host of extra- curricular activities from sports to workshops, to plantation drive etc. Events like annual fest, music fest, Foundation Day etc are celebrated annually. The institute has a spacious ground a nice and big library, auditorium with good seating capacity and well equipped classrooms. All these make it go good in terms of infrastructure.

Admission

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Faculty

4

The faculty member in our institute are professional and experienced as well. Their aesthetical knowledge about this domain of architecture is something which you can appreciate as a student. Ideas to teachers thanks about architecture as an art and not architecture as a mere rote learning curriculum. The approach of teaching is simple and is guided by their experience in the field.

Placement Experience:

Architecture is completely a solo thinking work we can work in groups as well but if a structure is designed by a single architect then it has a taste of that particular person but if its a group then all will be mixed and have different kind of brains giving different ideas soo an individual can manage even if he doesnt get a placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews, external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).

Since our HOD changed this year, I'm not sire about when the placements are available, most probably would be for the 5th year students so 9th sem onwards. Not sur3 about which companies either, highest package would be 8000 I'm guessing, we don't get paid much. My plan is to switch courses, this was absolutely useless to me :)
