Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

So the things which influenced me for choosing this course are:- - Design and creativity -Integration of digital tools like autocad revit rhino Real world preparation includes studio based learning , there is proper one semester given to do internship and look outside the world and industry experience, there are so many workshops and competitions from which you gain so much knowledge. Improvements can like they can ficus more on organic and green architecture,More emphasis on modern techniques Theory exams are manageable but jury's are challenging

Internships Opportunities

4

You have to apply for your internship yourself that can be within city outside city or can be ourside country aswell and not much of stipend is there like 6k pm is what you get in city and there is more of non paid internships. Internship is in 10 sem after thesis semester. I really don't know about much projects for internship

Placement Experience

4.5

After 10 semester Students are eligible for placements. Yes,from last year they iffer on campus placements with highest package of 11 lakhs which is really good according to this course. average package is around 6 lakhs which is also decent. 15 out of 30 students could get the placements that is 50 percent. I am planning to pursue masters degree outside India after this course

Fees and Financial Aid

So I am through comedk quota and my fees is 237000 and other fees is 36000. For Kcet quota total fees including other fees is 106000. For management quota total fees is 636000. Yes, they offer scholarships based on financial situation of family or based in caste Sc or st. They offer scholarships upto 100% based in other categories

Campus Life

4.5

So our college has very less holidays during festival times and not many fests or events are there as I mentioned earlier but some festival events are organised by students only which is like Onam is celebrated here very nicely, ganesh chaturthi is celebrated here with full excitement like proper rituals are performed visarjan staphna is there and crackers dance performances it all happens in the month of september. So in our college library most of the books you will get here like thousand of books are there in the library you can issue anytime, E books are also installed in system which you can access in library only. In classrooms electronic boards are provided, drafting tables are provided that's it. So talking about sports my favourite topic so there are not much sports in this campus but you can access sports other rv campus which are in bangalore only and rvca is introducing new sports ground which will be inaugurated within a year probably, every year sports fest is also there

Hostel Facilities

3

So hostel fees for boys triple sharing is 90000 for hostel and 56000 for mess which is compulsory to give ,boys double sharing of hostel costs 130000 and 56000 for mess. They have 3 beds in all rooms which are not proportional like beds height are of 1 meter drawers are also in the bed to keep stationary and stuff 1 single small cupboard is provided to keep clothes which is really not enough. Common washrooms are there which are not very clean but fine...everyone stay here for like a year and then move out with friends. Food taste really bad here and like half of the tike you will order from outside. Hostel mess is pure veg you are not allowed to get non veg. There are many rental houses nearly college for 20k rent pm for 3 bhk and many gated societies are also there like sobha and brigade many of my batchmates are living there, pg is also available nearby college

Admission

So I choose this college over Sushant school of architecture as this has more exposure compared to that there all high society or high class elite students come to college who actually don't care about learning anything and just come with their luxury cars have fun attend fests and go and that's how the faculty is they also don't care about teaching those students....my brother studied from there only so I got to know about that college. I applied for cept university ahmedabad and I couldn't get there as they needed nata score of atleast 150 out of 200 and mine was not this much so my second preference which was rv I got into it. Eligibility criteria is you should pass nata exam which is minimum 70 marks are required out of 200 and in 12 minimum 50% is required to eligible for architecture colleges in india according to council of architecture.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to student ratio is really nice like per 9 students 1 faculty is there so it's really nice and they are really friendly with students and they want work otherwise they are strict also. Some of the faculties are really very talented like Girish sir of bcm he makes everything so easy to understand and many more are there like arun sir mayank sir nishant sir. So far there's no faculty that I didn't like so can't tell it right now. So there are class tests of theory subjects which are every month and jury's of practical subject which is once in two months and yes its difficult to pass these as you get so many critics.

Other Applied Colleges

Sushant School of Art and Architecture - [SSAA] | Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch]

I heard that this college doesn’t offer much of education and ofcourse they focus more on their reputation rather than on education

Placement Experience:

Architecture is completely a solo thinking work we can work in groups as well but if a structure is designed by a single architect then it has a taste of that particular person but if its a group then all will be mixed and have different kind of brains giving different ideas soo an individual can manage even if he doesnt get a placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews, external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).

Since our HOD changed this year, I'm not sire about when the placements are available, most probably would be for the 5th year students so 9th sem onwards. Not sur3 about which companies either, highest package would be 8000 I'm guessing, we don't get paid much. My plan is to switch courses, this was absolutely useless to me :)
