Remarks
I have had a thrilling journey at the college. The teachers were really helpful and I am still in contact with few of them. The course did get pretty hectic over the years but it was worth the hard work. There is a lot of extra expense for things like stationary and printouts. The overall experience for me has been rewarding.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus was pretty hard. Each year is divided into two semesters and we had exams at the end of every semester. There were other assessments like Viva and Jury. The course structure was rather interesting incorporating a lot of research based topics as a result of which we had a lot of field trips.
Placement Experience
Regarding placements and internships, the college doesn't provide any such opportunities. Faculty members do guide you in every way possible but pretty much we were on our own in getting internships and jobs. It is a promising field therefore most of the students are likely to be up-and-coming after graduation.
College Events
There aren't many celebrations in the college. Although one of the important events is the 'Exhibition' held towards the end of the academic year. Seminars, sessions, workshops and other scholarly events are conducted
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is reasonable and affordable and depends on your qualification. If you got in through K-CET or COMED-K the fee is justifiable. Management quota on the other hand is quite expensive. I pay about Rs.1,07,406 a year.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the college is pretty good. Nevertheless, there weren't many extracurricular activities happening in the college. The study equipment and teaching aids are remarkable. All the students live peacefully in the campus and no one treats each other differently. It's a fun place to be in and make a lot of friends.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is average. I share my room with two other students. It can get pretty cramped sometimes. The food quality in the mess is pretty good. Hostel life, however, is fun. Hostel fee is also pretty expensive and can cost about Rs.1,00,000 a year.
Admission
My admission process was pretty easy. There are three ways to get an admission; through COMED-K, K-CET and Management Quota. I got in through the K-CET merit list. Along with that they would check the NATA score and grades in 10th and 12th. All the applicants must be a resident of Karnataka.
Faculty
Faculty members are very knowledgeable and skilled. They always pushed us to think outside the box. They used a variety of teaching aids which makes the lectures really gripping. They are highly qualified as well therefore they never failed to direct us to the right path.
