Entrance Preview

JEE MAIN. My score was 98/360. My AIR was 143202. After getting the results of Jee Main , I filled up choices on CASB website and in the spot round, I got admitted to SMVDU.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is updated and the examination pattern adopted is of IIT's. The newcourse is included INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS whose syllabus is same as that of Harvard university.

Internships Opportunities

No company comes for internship. This is a very weak point of the university. When you don't get experience of practical hands on learning, how can you expect one to excell in the industry.

Placement Experience

3.5

TCS, WIPRO salary IS 3.8LAC/annum other companies are not for b.tech students. Other companies include Amar flour, orange, water health.The placement companies are not so good. It is a better option if one opts for off campus placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite Expensive. It is around Rs.2,00,000/annum which is a huge amount despite the fact that it is a centrally funded university.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is only one such scholarship known as scholarship merit cum means scholarship. I have never seen anyone getting it because of the complex criteria which it posesses.

Campus Life

Everything is awesome except studies. The sex ratio is 9:10. Hopefully boys are 10, girls are 9. The girls are awesome, pretty , beautiful , delightful. Politics is not there.

Exam Structure

Hectic Schedule. 2 exams in a day in minor and exam in a day in major exam. Your mind keeps on swirling while you are giving the exams.

Faculty

Faculty of college is average except a few which are awesome. Rest focus on rote learning. They are always keen for 75% attendance below which your grade shall be degraded by 1.

In case placement they tries give opportunities but didn't succeeded to much well. As 9.5 lpa is highest package by B.Tech CSE on campus but off-campus doing well as B.Tech CSE got 2 time 36 lpa as highest

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. The placement rate was of 108.38%.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good things is that they offer minor courses for us where we can choose extra courses which we may find interesting and yaa not only that interdepartment projects can also be chosen which is very strange but don't seems relevant.curriculum earlier they were following of iit Delhi and new curriculum is not very exact and relevant because sometimes there are some unnecessary courses and no point of learning that course which forcefully imposed on us to take this course as it comes under institute department courses and are mandatory which is not so good

NIT srinagar : A place signifying Majesty of nature and a ground for academic growth

Placement Experience:

I think the students become eligible for placements after 6 th semester, if you are from CS / IT then you'll get enough opportunities for yourself... I know 8-9 seniors who have grabbed a pretty decent package from companies like Oracle If somehow you fail to get recruited on campus then i guess the off campus option is open for all I am pretty satisfied with the placement record atleast for IT The percentage placement for this year CSE was 51 considering recession part this seems good to me

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Review about Shri mata vaishni devi university

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

Nice and Unbiased review of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

I have applied in many colleges and I also get seat in them but the only reason I use assembly because the college is close from my home. Just because of travelling purposes I choose this college. The admission process in our college is not very difficult. The only way to get admission in the college by csab counselling and by college internal counselling.The cut off of the branch is 60 percentile for general students.
