My college days in Jabalpur

The college comprises of many different and rare type of courses. It's demand is much higher is foreign countries than in India but with a little effort we can improve it's opportunities here as well.

The course is hectic because of the amount of lab work, research, exams, vivas, seminars and theory classes involved. The entire course is of 4 years for which the syllabus is well defined and constructed.

Placements and jobs in this course are limited. The kind of jobs expected are in the fields of research or teaching. Internships can be done in various research institutions like Mumbai Research Centre of CMFRI, Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute and so on.

The total charges for a period of 4 years is 1,64,708 rupees. It is feasible as this course is rare and not that popular amongst the students. There aren't many institutions that offer the same kind of course in India.

Many activities take place in this college. Students and teachers participate enthusiastically in it. It keeps the energy flowing and keeps away the boredom. Many seminars, skill based workshops and national level conferences are held annually in this college.

The seniors help out in all the possible ways. Seniors interaction help in understanding the course better and also know about future scope as they are well versed with it. Seniors are as good guides as any teacher.

Through this course I can help the fishermen by giving them advice and technological knowledge to boost their work. For this State Level Entrance Examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, Bhopal is to be given. After this the students are enrolled for the course based on the entrance test marks.

The faculties view point is mostly focused on the farmers and they teach in accordance with that. Most of them have dedicated their reseach to help the plight of the farmers by developing new techniques for them.
