Likes
- Indeed one of the most developed NLU as it is also one of the latest NLU.
- Even though it's in a tier-3 city, our college ranks among tier-1 NLU.
- We have best and probably the largest collection of law books and journals as over 1.2 lakh such material is available in our library.
Dislikes
- Campus is also one of the smallest when it comes to NLU other campuses.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in International law and how US or the UK law have made ammends or the ones who tried to get through couldn't. We have it all in our courses as we international law is one of our main subjects and I am happy that it is being taught to us.
Placement Experience
It's mostly the law firms as corporate houses have so far have drench coming to our campus. The reasons are obvious as just three batches have been passed out from her so far and unless a strong alumni network is formed it is impossible to get great placements from our campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
MPDNLU which is MP's second NLU is cheaper then NLIU Bhopal and also better in facilities as well. Yet the fees is same or let's say our college charges lesser than them as our fees is just 2.82 lakhs a year which includes our hostel fees too.
Campus Life
Our campus may be small but our college garden is more happening than DU colleges gardens. We are free to roam and tie ribbons and ballons as much as we want. Even sports facilities are excellent and best probably would be the library. Our annual fest REVA too is bigger than NLIU annual fest for sure.
Hostel Facilities
Hostles are good and most importantly as MP is hot for most part of the year, we have ACs in our rooms. Single room options which are not many available at our campus, we can exercise that option too. Mess is just average as because I am not from MP, half the dishes that are prepared are by no means suit my tastebuds.
Admission
Rejection definitely from top NLUs be it the Bangalore, Hyderabad or the Kolkata one. Even GNLU was my preferred but even they don't take students below the rank of 400 for general category. So with a rank of 2200 I had very few options and out of which DNLU seemed best by all means.
Faculty
Mostly what we witness or heard is that faculties are imposing but at MPDNLU, they aren't as they have empowered us saying you as students hold the right to question but not we. So, when all your doubts are cleared by questioning why do you need someone else then.
Night Life
Jabalpur has a lot of picnic outings and some of them are chaotic too. Finding transport outside of our college is easy as unlike other NLUs ours is not that far from the main city. Even Jabalpur Sadar Bazar which is main market of the city is just 2 and a half kms from our college.
