Remarks

It's a government affiliated college for the student aspirants of mbbs. The teachers, course curriculum and structure as well as infrastructure both of the campus and hospital is very well built. The allover college is really nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good college is mainly focused on 20 different specilaziations of medical in mbbs. The course structure consist of both proper theoretical and practical knowledge. Our college have also have its hospital for practical and professional experience.

Placement Experience

After persuing mbbs 1 year of internship is must here to be certified with the mbbs degree program. So the internship provides us with great practical knowledge and understanding. And we become more confident.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible, mbbs is usually expensive in colleges in comparison to that its feasible. And is well worth spending. Its total fees is Rs.21.33 Lakhs for 5 years-6 months. Also scholarships are provided here.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is affiliated with the government of uttarakhand hence yes, the scholarships are provided to the students by the government of uttarakhand. Those who are academically strong enough and those who are minority communities are provided with scholarships or loans.

Campus Life

The college consists of a hospital which also is helpful for the practical knowledge and training of students as per the course curriculum. Also here internship for whole one year is a must as for proper practical training. Also various extracurricular activities are performed here. And every students are treated equally for education with full efforts and confide.

Admission

To be eligible to get admission here you must be qualified in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and the admission is mainly on the valid merit you get in the exam of NEET. I chose MBBS as I want to be a good surgeon of brain in my future. And this college is mainly focused on mbbs and further medical education after mbbs only.

Faculty

The faculty is really concerned for us and are very helpful. They are very approachable and are very professional. They teach us with great knowledge and understanding. All the teachers are very well qualified.

I came to RIT Roorkee from Bihar for my MBA and I want to write this review specifically for students from Bihar and UP

Likes

The campus environment is good and you get students from different places, so you get a chance to interact with people outside your home state.
Faculty support can be good, especially when you are regular with your studies and approach them when you need help.
For parents from Bihar, having accommodation within/around the campus can make the transition easier.

Dislikes

Hostel and college rules can feel strict for students who want a lot of freedom.
You will need to put in your own effort for coding, communication skills, internships and other career preparation. The college alone cannot guarantee a good career.
The environment is fairly structured, which can be helpful if you want to stay focused on your studies.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at Roorkee Institute of Technology are quite diverse, with a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that supports students through resume building, mock interviews, career guidance and recruitment drives. According to the institute’s current placement information, the 2026 batch has recorded placements across different sectors, with an average package of around ₹8 LPA and the highest package of ₹22 LPA. Likes

The very first thing liked about my college is its location . Dehradun is in itself a very peacefull place. Second thing is campus , the campus contains all types of sports activities .
The professors of the college are phd holders and have real industrial experience , which helps me to connect to real world experience with theoritical lectures.
There is no discrimination in the campus , no matter from which state do you belong , you will feel comfortable in the campus.

Dislikes

The most disliked thing is the unpredictable weather of Dehradun.

Placement Experience:

The placements of university are very good because there is a career development cell present in the campus, which helps every student for getting placed. There are 350+ recruiters which visits our campus for recruitment. Recruiters like Tech Mahindra , HCL Tech , ICICI , Wipro , Asian Paints , Deloitte , ITC , Unilever , Infosys , etc. comes for recruitment every year . Recruiters comes from sectors like FMCG , Banking , Tech , Consulting , e-commerce , etc. Approx 98% students get placed and they are trying to increase this percentage. Highest package touched is impressive which is 40 Lpa , average package is 8.7 Lpa , about average top 20% offers was of 13.5Lpa. My plans after getting degree is to get placed with valuable package and after sometimes I want to start my own business.

RIT ROORKEE - A great choice for education

Likes

i like the teaching methodology of the professors
the environment of the college is very positive
each & every faculty member are very helpfull

Dislikes

city area is small, but there is many things to explore
college is very strict about attendance but it makes you punctual
you will get limited opportunity but that are excellent

Placement Experience:

There is a separate & totally dedicated Traning & placement cell. In all branches they are providing excellence placement opportunities. in the last year of my btech, approx 50+ companies visited with great packages.

the cousse curriculum is well structured and cover both foundational theories and practical concept. which was key reason for choosing this program. it provides a solid acedemic base for higher studies and includes case studies and group projects that help bridge the gap toward real world application. however there is still room for improvement in increasing hands on in increasing hand on industry explosure moder tool integreation and practical workshop rather than leaning primarily on conventional textbook learning

One of the best thing about the college is its green and well mainatained infrastructure. The campus is surrounded by nature creating a peaceful and positive learning environment.

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

I like the college curriculum and study materials and teaching style of the teachers . Some teachers are impressive and their teaching style is too good .
Campus life is not much engaging but we usually spent our time in studying only . Also for attendance there is not much more criteria but some teachers are very strict in taking the attendance.
Faculties are full of experience and knowledge. They are approachable online and offline too but after the class.

Dislikes

I don't like the placement system in my college because the students studying in 2nd year do not get any exposure of placement . There is placement cell in our college but not very active .
Infrastructure is good but it should be spread in a more big acres . My wish was to get into IIT Kharagpur that's why I am asking for big campus .
Overall curriculum and research based approach of the campus is good. They just give projects to the seniors and seniors work is to dictate us about the project and helps us in building different types of project.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that motivates me to choose this college is the GFTI'S colleges . Because my father suggest me that govt. Colleges seeks more companies that's why I choose this college . But truth is totally opposite from the reality. Real world application based projects is just given by the teachers in every semester but we students copy it and give it to them from the gpt. College timing should be more less we have to study from 10 am to 5 p.m. Timings of exams are of 3 hrs only in semester . Difficulty level is moderate.

College Journey

Likes

Discipline in our college is too good, among students as well as teachers
In our college, children are taught different beneficial activities.
Our college also teaches well, all lectures are on time.

Dislikes

Since it is a government College, politics also goes on in the college at some places which causes trouble.
The exams are very tough which all the students have problem with and they also check it strictly.
Placements cost only 1 or 2%, nothing else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am preparing for a government job, so I took admission in this course just to get a graduation degree and not for any other reason. There should be some improvement in the lab and also in the exam pattern. The timing of our exam is 2:30 hours which is less time because the exam is lengthy.

Other colleges I applied for- AFMC, PUNE All AIIMS specially DELHI AND RISHIKESH MAMC, DELHI VMMC, DELHI these are few top medical colleges of our country to get into due to their faculty, college environment, hospital setting, hostels, etc. I didn't get into any of the above because of my grades- I score 600 in Neet 2022 and I could only get into state colleges, so only choice left was to choose any college from uttrakhand and I thereby chose GDMC, dehradun. You need to qualify neet, ug and enroll for state councelling (Students having Uttrakhand state domicile or have done their 10 and 12 from Uttrakhand) or all India councelling (for students not having domicile or have not done 10 and 12 from Uttrakhand). More marks are needed for All India councelling to get into GDMC. Based on your rank in the merit list you will get admission.
