Remarks

Whatever i felt is that the college atmosphere during classes was good and the faculties are helpful and the college management helped us during needs as i can say this because i lost some of study material which was arranged by the staff at nominal cost. so overall the college experience was quite nice

Entrance Preview

IGNOU masters in social welfare scored 59% best university in distance learning and near by study centre

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was tough as the practical work is very hard as provided so much time to complete that practical work with efforts as done orientation visits with other students and done concurrent visits for 45 days for the completion of field work to any recognized ngodone community organization work for the society during visits to janta colony's

Internships Opportunities

The experience was very good as made so many new friends and learned so much out of field work during practical. Stipend is not too much high as the fees was average as got study material too in that fees of rs 12000 per year except the money spent over doing practical work

Placement Experience

2.5

No such kind of a placement and job opportunities provided directly by ignou university but the experience i gained while study was excellent and it has increased my confidence to look forward to the job

College Events

4.5

Not aware of those technical, cultural and management festival held by the college management as opted the distance learning and only attended the practical classes required for the completion of my course

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is within the range as in the fees of rs 12000 per year we allocated study material and classes to attend in the study centre provided to us

Fees and Financial Aid

Not required the loan facility as the fee structure is nominal and within the limit of ours and the fees are genuine as per the name of the university

Campus Life

4

Again to say the same as i have opted for distance learning and was gone to attend the special classes arranged for such kind of students who opted to complete the course on non regular basis but sometime during weekend classed some sports events were organised by the faculties with the help of students

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We have not taken such kind of facilities and even the mess food was not opted as taken only study centre classes on weekend basis as opted for distance learning

Alumni/Alumna

Do not say anything about the alumni network as our meetings were not happened due to distance learning but the senior students behaviour to us was nice and appropriate as hey helped us in need

Exam Structure

The exams held not too far as it was organized by the college management within the reachable zone of some kilometres and the centre was very good as it was chilled out to do so

Faculty

4

They all were supportive and very much cooperative while assigning task and helped out making groups of most of the students being an administrative on whatsapp and always found online for any queryprovided guidance on mobile phone too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always held that the training I recieved during my masters programme prepared the grounds for my future development. The teaching pedagogy was centres around participation and a two way dialogue. I am not in the capacity to be suggesting improvements in curriculum as my stint in the university was almost perfect- more than I could have ever asked for.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed by the renowned professors and faculty members from different universities in India and from abroad as well. The content was choosen keeping in mind to cover all the aspects of the specific subject for a pg student. As I mentioned before, the quality of study material was very good and helpful and very enough. But the pg thesis is missing from our course, due to which we were not able to do a research project. It appears to me after the completion of my first year that we can do our research under our given faculty but it wasn't mentioned in the course structure as it is mainly upto our faculties.

In IGNOU, you can study from anywhere because the courses are offered in distance and online mode. You don’t have to attend regular college; you can study at home using the books, PDFs, and online lectures. IGNOU also provides online teachers through live classes, recorded videos, and doubt-clearing sessions on their online platforms. This makes it easy for students to learn even if they are working or living in another city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.

The course that I opted for is Political Science and it is very relevant to the exam that I am preparing for. I often take help of the online material they provide. It is often recommended curriculum for UPSC/MPSC/political journalism. However they need to provide teachers or short video lectures do that the course become comprehensive.
