In master degree we study every part of the subject deeply. If graduation provides 70% knowledge of the subject, PG will get you 100% of it.In my syllabus every strand of commerce is submerged. These two years are tougher than the graduation years

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are quite fair.Whether you will get job or not it entirely depends upon your performance in the interview. Recruiters also see students growth rate in academics and in extracurricular activities. Salary is justified with 20k to 30k.

College Events

Here students gets the opportunity to develop their selves and their leadership potential to great extent. Every year,our Counsil members gets change with our votes. We even have anti ragging cells who takes care of ragging related problems

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure ranges to 3400-4600 according to the courses. The M.Com fee structure is somewhere in between the both. During my admission I paid the first installment of the fee which was 3700. After paying this,for a whole year we are have to pay for anything.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are designed in such a way that they'll have their hands development of your personality and mind. We have quizzes every week or two in which two department students fight for becoming the quiz master. We also have seminars,debates and other kinds of competitions

Admission

After doing my graduation from Patna. I wanted to study somewhere outside the Bihar and then one of my relatives suggested me (SKBU) Admission here was based on the marks of graduation. As I got good GPA in the B.Com, university granted me admission

Faculty

The university have all the best things of West Bengal including the teaching and non teaching staff. The website will give you a complete discription of professors. They are very nice and positive people. They guide us with the path.

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

A holistic experience: my journey at CFI college of Law

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd say the BBA LLB curriculam si quite relevent and comprehensive. the blend of business management and legal studies really made me choose this course because it gives a holistic understanding of both fields. The curriculum is pretty practical and prepares us well for real- world applications like internships and moot courts and also sets a strong foundation dor further studies in law. In term of Imporvements i think the curruculum could benefit from more interactive workshops and practical training sessions and somtimes a bit more hands on experience and indusry exposure help bridge the gap between thoery and practice. Regarding exams, I find the frequency and timing are well balanced. the semester exams come at a good pace and whike some subjects can be challenging they are definately manageable with consisnent study.

My thoughts on our beloved Sidho Kanho Birsha University.

The main reason behind choosing the Sidho Kanho Birsha University is to peruse my masters in chemistry from my home university which I am more habitual to. I persued my bachelor's from the same university and my home town is nearby from the university so these are the main reasons for choosing this university. Amoung several universities i applied for I got selection from Vidyasagar University and burdwan university. And because these colleges are away from my home town so I choose my home university over these . Yes I got rejection from the IIT Kharagpur. I didn't make it to there because my mark for the qualification for this university was not upto the mark. My university gives admission to students in behalf of their marks in the bachelor's degree. There is two quota , one is for home students and one is for outside university students. I got the seat in home students category. The cutoff was 82.5% for the admission to chemistry masters program in our university....Read More
