Course Curriculum Overview

BCom is a bachelor's degree in accountancy and commerce has a duration of 3 years. It is a very vast course covering subjects such as accounts, financial accounting, economics, maths/computers and subjects related to management.

Placement Experience

The college has career counseling and placement cell which organizes different activities such as mock interviews, aptitude test, and training according to the course which helps students to get good jobs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Birpara college has a very low fee structure which can be paid in semester wise. Fee for the BCom course is rupees 5440 per year and fee can be paid semester wise which will be 2720 rupees per semester.

The college has a very interactive teaching method like a classroom with ICT facilities, LCD projector, audio systems. Provides collaborative learning with different project work, E-Library, Research bank, Sports competitions, cultural programs, etc.

Admission is this college is depended on the merit list. game will be a entrance test and then there will be a small interview.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
