This college is better then other in career popularity , future value & good experiences etc. But some illegal (used management & political power) work here but don't worry if you not include in their problem you will continue and secure carrier. Admission process is West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) counselling or Decentralized Counselling, But in this year(2020) due to Covid-19 pandemic counselling process will happen totally online after 7th August(Result Date). University of Calcutta is famous for their previous history and now you have good position after pass out compares to other college. Facilities like seminar, gate preparation . my course is department of Chemical Technology (CT) specialization of Ceramic Engineering. From my school level I like chemistry subject this is one reason I choose chemical technology, But other important reason are in chemical technology department have 4 specialization and between these ceramic engineering is best option my point of view because 100% placement is there also good alumni, industrial visit, internship. But others branch are also good. In this department 10 faculty including HOD, professor,Associate professor, Assistant professor and guest teachers are also there, and approximate 100 student total 4 year and 30 research scholars. All faculty members are highly qualified (phd.) and their teaching method is very easy to understood and you can ask anything direct call, go to the faculty etc. Exam conduct semester wise 1 year have two semester total 8 semester and each semester have internal exam. You can focus in both for passing the exam.

I and my one friend was give internship confirmation from our faculty teacher 2019 march 1st week when we are 6th semester. And our internship was about to begin May 4 . stipend may be approximate 7000 we are give after complete our training but due to covid - 19 pandemic college cancel classes march 16 and after that we are all know that lock down in India. May be my project was about to tiles related according to my faculty information.

placement in our college is good, From 7th semester student become eligible for campus placement. In my specialization (Ceramic Engineering) OCL India Private ,Maithan Ceramic Limited, Hindustan Sanitaryware & Industries Limited, RHI India Private Limited etc.these companies are visited our campus. average package is 3.4L - 6L per annum. and In my specialization above 90% student getting placement others go to M.Tech according 2018, Because 2019 is some disturbance due to covid pandemic. After pass out from the college my 1st preference is job and otherwise M.tech is also good option.

Fess structure is good as an state-aided university. In per semester fees (3000 + 622) and admission time for 1st semester fess approximate 5000. But you can apply half and full fee form in this your fees will be half (1500+ 622))or fully (0 + 622). and 622 examination and other fees. so this best option for those category who belong to below poverty level. And most important is scholarship in West Bengal Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship scheme for domicile of West Bengal student & have obtained at least 75% marks in the higher secondary examination(12th) of WB council. and other scholarship like SC/ST/OBC category. In internship you can get stipend not all student but maximum student(ceramic engineering). By end of the 4 year you got job chances 90 to 100% in ceramic engineering.

Every year annual fest is conducting by the all teachers, student and they all are present in this program. and also happen college fresher, farewell even occasionally program. Each department have own library and you can take two books for 15 days to your home by the library card which provided by university. And one big library for every student there have many types of book not only subject related and separate rooms for computer. all classrooms have Air conditioner (AC), good water supply and outside toilet, wash room is available. sports and extra curricular activities are also there but not much more, Interested student are conducting this provided by sport faculty of university. we have Facebook group Chemical Technology Calcutta University Alumni Association where all CT student are there.

Hostel rooms are really too big each room have 3 student including senior, junior and no problem in room size. electricity, purified water facilities and wi-fi have there. meal quality is very good you can feel your home food including breakfast (6 am), lunch ( start from 9:30 am), Tiffin ( begin 4 pm), Dinner (begin 8:30 pm). in menu - Fish, chicken, egg , vegetable etc. are available. Registration process is very simple first you fill form which provided by the campus read the rules and signed by guardian,HOD, and secretary then submit to your main campus . don't worry details are also provided by the faculty and you can ask your faculty, senior , friend.After selection some document needed for your domicile. and hostel provide those who above 60 km from home to college. but before admission you can rented a room , when you in the 1st year salt lake or tech campus of university of Calcutta go to Chingrighata(local area) for PG.
