Rgkar medical college and hospital

Rgkar is a good college. Academics, sports, extracurricular, everything is in perfect balance.

This is a 4. 5 year course with 1 year internship. After each year there is a final MB exam. Moreover there are about 9 semester in the whole course. There are also part exam, items etc. About 19 subjects are taught during this 4. 5 yr course which I think is relavant and although hard but fair. Time management vast knowledge and hard work associated with the course helps a lot in the professional field.

There is no such thing as placements in mbbs course. After completing 4. 5 years of study and passing final mbbs, paid intership is done. After which convocation occurs. After that one can choose to be a house stuff and perform his duty as medical practitioner.

In early part of year tgere is a film festival. After that swaraswati puja is held in the college premises. After that there is the freshers where juniors are welcomed. After that comes lobelia, the main college fest. For lobelia there are football tournament indoor games tournament and other sports event. Band, solo, dance, fashion show are also held during this fest.

A sumtotal of about 5000 is to be paid per semester. The total course is about 36000. But it fiffers in private medical colleges. Rgkar is a government medical college hence fees are comparitively less. It is quite feasible. Payment can be made by cash. Officials do provide transpiracy.

College offers a scholarship for under income families. This can be applied for in the students section of the college by showing relevant documents.

Campus life is quite fun. Canteens are a hub of fun. Gender ratio is good with almost eqaul male to female. diversity is maintained as there is an all india quota where students from all over india can be admitted. Extracurricular are great. Football tabletennis cricket etc are played there are hoatel tournaments.

I didnt opt for hostel. I live in a pg which is about 20 minutes from my college. I stay there at the rate of 6000 per month including lunch and dinner. Minor management charge of 100 and maintanence charge are added. My pg stay met the expense.

Seniors are quite helpful towards the juniors. They guide during intership and junior house staff years. Alumni network is quite good. Reunion is held every year.

I got admission through WBJEE medical 2016. College are alloted according to rank of entrance exam which is now called NEET. I got this college according to rank in wbjee medical 2016. This institution is in heart of kolkata hence I preferred it. Forms of neet are alvailable from december. Exams occur in may and according to rank colleges are alloted.

The faculty of this college are great. Professors are learned and very experienced. They push the students harder to acquire more professional skill and knowledge. Besides professors the labs are also great. Practical exposure is also good. The library also is very good.
