A look to St.Thomas College of Engineering and Technology.

Our college is too much disciplined and strict. You can't enter the college with beard. The management is very strict about this. There is no kind of ragging in this college.

The college is affiliated to MAKAUT. Their course curriculum is not too much updated.This is neither too much relevant or research driven. But this is fair. In this college the college will make you better professional. There is two semester taken by this university.There is provision for CESC internship.

In the placement scenario the college is way better than other colleges. Placement may be one of the main reason to take admission in this college.Almost 90 percent students get placed every year. In CSE and IT almost every student get placed and In ECE and EE placement is also good.CTS and Infosys are the bulk recruiter of this college. Our college gives training for placements of students.

There is no fresher's you can expect in this college. After admission there is a departmental cultural program takes place.There is no other cultural program I repeat again no other cultural program takes place. So don't think of it. There is farewell of seniors but that not that kind of a program. There is a tech fest every year.

The fee structure is feasible I think compared to other colleges. The annual fees are approximately around 90000. College takes payment via cash or cheque.There is a caution money of 10000. The college provides transparency in the fee breakdown.The semester fees are taken before.There is no hidden cost I can assure you.There is tuition fee waiver facility in our college.

I opted for SVMCM scholarship and in that case the college helped me so much in every step. Now I am getting the scholarship.

In our dept. the gender ratio is 3:1. The campus life is good in one word. Campus is totally ragging free. One problem is that the opportunity for extracurricular activity is very limited.There is only one tech fest every year and there is cricket, badminton tournament and in common room there is provision for table tennis and carrom. The labs are well equipped.

I did not opt for hostel. I stayed in relative's home. In this college there is no hostel facility available. There is PGs in that area and they are affordable too. These charges nearly 2500 as I hear from my friends.

Senior students in this college are very helpful. If you go to them for any help they always try to help you.

I got admission via wbjee. After counselling process this college I got. I took admission on 15 th July and class started from 1 August.The admission process is quite simple. After the result of wbjee you have to register yourself for wbjee counselling.After the counselling you will get your college as per your choices.

The faculty members are very qualified and helpful. They are even available after the classes are over. Their class teaching is also very good.There is about 15 professors in our department. Their average age is about 45. Some proffesor are young too. Every faculty member of our department has their masters degree on their subjects. They provide clarity in their topic to the students. I don't know that they hold any relevant industry experience or certification.
