Remarks

Good college for girls and especially if you stay in central delhi or Karol Bagh area.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is standard like other DU colleges. You have to be a sincere student, then teachers help you a lot. Student union and NSS gives you good exposure of college life. Campus is neat and small. Placement cell can be improved. But your seniors help you a lot.

Placement Experience

3

You have to look for internships on your own. The college only gives you a NOC certificate and other required support. Placement cell can be better.

College Events

3

The annual college festival is called laharen and it is celebrated with great pomp and show. Many colleges from DU an outside participate in the fest which is usually 3 days long. On the last day generally a popular music band performance is there and crowd is the maximum on last day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a Government College fees structure is reasonable and affordable. You can pay fees semester wise. It is not expensive like other private colleges. If you are get good marks in your board examination the , you can easily get admission in this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the fee structure is affordable. If you are a top student you will get some annual scholarship prize which can support your education.

Campus Life

3.5

It Is an entirely girls college. So gender ratio is 100% girl. Sports facilities are ok. Student union organises annual College fest called lehren which is the high point of the academic year. It has a lot of competitions debates fashion show functions and many colleges participate of DU and outside.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No college does not have any hostel. If you are an outstation student then you have to rent a PG nearby. The nearby area is a bit expensive though in terms of rent. Rajendra Nagar metro station is the nearest to college

Alumni/Alumna

The college doesn't have an active alumni network. It is up to you to stay in touch with your seniors and college teachers.

Admission

Best of 5 subjects is considered. The college often releases upto 4 cut off list. You may get admission easily if you score 70%above. The crowd is generally from nearby places villages and not very high class. If you are looking for an A class college, then you can look elsewhere.

Faculty

4

Teachers are good and helpful. Some courses are very strict like eng H and journalism. Library is fine, but books are very old. Minimum attendance of 75% is a must, so you should be regular in taking classes. Overall good support of teachers if you are a serious student.

I chose this course because I had studied commerce in my 12th so I want to pursue my career in that field that's why I chose this course The curriculum prepares us by giving us real life case studies, presentation in class which helps a lot to prepare for real world applications I don't think their is any area for improvement because year by year they are increasing difficulty level which is good and beneficiary for us in future Exams held generally in December - January and June - July , they give us good preparation holidays before exam as well

there is a scope of placement in Hansraj college. I am currently working in the placement cell of hansraj college and the average LPA of our college is 7-8 LPA which is decent most of the placements are for economics and commerce students the highest package from our college was 23 LPA so although there is a possibilty of placement and if not then the alumni network of hansraj helps and all the connections you made in the college helps to get a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the BA English honours curriculum at DU SOL as quite comprehensive and relevant specially for students interested in literature and language. The course covers a wide range of literary period genres and critical theories which helps build a strong foundation in English studies, however at times the material can feel a bit outdated or digit and more contemporary text or modern pedagogical approaches could be included. Overall it's a solid curriculum that prepares you will for further studies or a career in writing teaching or media.
