Remarks

College management is good. One of the top college

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Practical labs are well built. The lectures conducted are according to the curriculum and time table and strict attendance is required. It definitely give a basic knowledge but doesn't make you that much industry ready for software programming and electronics. But the placements are good. Industrial visits are fun.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are very good if required marks are obtained. Some companies that visited during my time were, Infosys, L&T, google. Recruitment process depends on companies but aptitude and interviews are common. There are lots of mock interviews and aptitudes conducted by placement cell. Average 80% to 90% students are placed.

College Events

4.5

Sojourn is an annual function. Sports competition of all departments. They are managed by students committee and teachers also. The sports event is very good which provides opportunity to show skills in almost all common sports. Also there are various project competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Above feasible, below expensive. The fee payment is via bank and the payment process is transparent.there are no additional fees and proper notices are given for everything. There is a big admin office for making everything hassle free. Mode of payments can be cash or dd or cheques etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, scholarships are given by Mumbai University and this is a mumbai university college. Marks are decision makers.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio of m/f is 60 40. Sports competition of all departments. They are managed by students committee and teachers also. The sports event is very good which provides opportunity to show skills in almost all common sports. Also there are various project competitions.

Hostel Facilities

5

No I haven't since I was staying in mumbai during my time. There were hardly any students staying in hostel. All were from mumbai and if anybody was in PG I don't know about the rates of that area.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are easily accessble since the classrooms are located in such a way. Alumni network is good and communicating is easy since all departments are segregated and remembering becomes easier.

Admission

On the basis of CET and HSC marks the admission was given. The electronics and telecommunication is the most in demand course since it provides training which makes industry ready to students, that's why I opted for this course. There were number of lists where in students were given admission according to their marks.

Faculty

4

Every department had each teacher dedicated for each course given in Mumbai University. Average age of lecturers might be 30- 50 and most of them are pursuing Masters in their respective field or are Masters. No industry experience of the lecturers. The faculties are experienced and very good.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
