Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum or syllabus of computer engineering keeps updating as being autonomous college. Three types of in-semester exams are conducted. Based on that average marks of them are considered. The course is good.
Internships Opportunities
Internship includes various companies such as wipro, infosys,codsoft. Mine was codsoft in android development where I have completed training and build two applications which includes competition registration app and quiz app.
Placement Experience
From the starting of final year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like infosys, accenture, capgemini, DXC Technology, oracle, JP morgan, mahindra often visit. The highest package was 44 LPA and average is 6.50 LPA. Approximately 90% students get placed and other students apply for higher education. I was to get a decent job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee is about 165000. Other fee such as development, library, university fee is around 10000. So it is 175000 according to general category . Students with economical backward class (EBC) is half 70000 per year. Scholarship are based on caste.
Campus Life
Various students clubs are present like rotract, shiksha which conducts various social activities. The biggest festival is Zephyr one in a year of 3 days. Good for sports. Overall most of the facilities are provided.
Hostel Facilities
AC in all classroom, labs. Wifi, smartboard, projector. Menu is quite big with various options but the quality feels average. According to mumbai city 10000/- is ok for hostel fees. PG location is kandivali near college.
Admission
In Mumbai, TCET is among top 10 colleges for engineering and top 3 among campus facilities. The college is also good according to placements. I got the admission based on MHT-CET entrance exam. I applied for other top colleges too and I got alloted in this.
Faculty
The faculty is approachable and have expertise in their subject. They aslo take extra lectures and doubt solving sessions. Our department faculty is good. The exams are a bit difficult as we have to cover entire syllabus to score decent marks.
Night Life
Actually there is no night life in college except events. After 6PM, students are not permitted to be in the campus. But on events or festival there is a good vibe. Hangout places include garden, common room.
