What Students Say
Likes
- I liked how serious the teachers and professors are here about their students' education, they relentlessly work hard to provide the best knowledge.
- I liked the boy to girl ratio in this college. It is really vibrant and filled with happenings here and there all the time.
- The mess here is actually decent compared to what I have heard of other colleges', the mess food is tasty and they offer a ton of variety over food options.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the expense of living here, I have to spend a lot here monthly and it's really upsetting considering the fees is a little on the higher side too.
- They don't offer really good hostles, the hostles are pretty basic but at high price and one might and should consider living in pg-s or hostels outside of TCET cause it's not worth it the money.
- The college area is itself not that big, the ground is rarely used and it all feels pretty jamed up in a box of a small area.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty good, considering it's the first year the subjects pretty much some up the basic foundation for the next 3 years of engineering, ranging from physics maths chemistry to drawing and programming. The course prepares on for lifelong challenges in one's engineering career for sure. Looking through the eyes of a student I feel the course is structured really nicely and I appreciate the efforts put into it. I have come across seniors who have said that they keep changing the syllabus every year which is actually a good thing cause the tech world keeps changing every single day. There are in total 3 exams in a semester, the mid semester, the end semester and innovative exam.
Internships Opportunities
The internship scene here in this college is pretty decent, the average intern that we can get offered is around 12k per month for like 3 months or so which is pretty decent for a college like this. This place invites the best of the companies possible and making it fruitful for the students who are willing to take a job or an internship.
Placement Experience
The placement scene in this college is pretty decent, I have come across a lot of seniors who have got placed. The average package is somewhere near 7-8lpa which is good for a college like this. The percentage of people who get placements are near to about ,60-70 percent. The companies like flipkart and wipro and all have visited to this college making it happening that this college holds some actual gem of a student or an employee.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees is 1,70,000 rupees, there are EBC scholarships for students belonging to families having less than 8 lakhs per year income which gives upto 50% scholarship on tuition fees, turning the yearly into 92,000 rupees and other additions make the yearly fees to then 95k-100k rupees. There are 3 hostels ranging from prices 90,000 per year to 1,30,000 per year. Ranging depending on the facilities they provide. The
Campus Life
The culture here is very vibrant, it's been almost 2 months my college has started and there have been atleast 2-3 events taken place in this college in that span. The sports culture hasn't really taken place till now, probably because first year students aren't allowed in college teams. The library here is good, there are tons of books to read from and the infrastructure is pretty nice too making it peacefully and asthetically pleasing for the students.
Admission
This college was not only good with academics but also the culture here was vibrant as I have heard during the time of admission, making me feel this is the right fit for me. The fees here was comparably on the better side and the location and everything made me choose this college other than colleges in my locality.
Faculty
So there are 5 subjects per sem for the first year, they change it to some other 5 subjects the next semester. The subjects include physics, mathematics, English, Basic electrical engineering, engineering drawing. And the other set of 5 subjects are 2 subjects of coding and programming teaching c and python languages and chemistry and maths and indian knowledge system. The faculty here are really helpful and it's good to interact with them cause they make it easy.
Night Life
The nightlife here has been pretty normal, things like parties and clubbing don't really happen around here because there's no pubs or clubs here and moreover the students here are pretty much already packed up with studies and assignments that they don't have time for this anyways
