Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), Aurangabad was established in 2001 by the Gramodyogik Shikshak Mandal (GSM) and the MIT group of institutes. It is an autonomous institute accredited by grade “A” from NAAC. It offers a wide range of courses for graduation and post-graduation level in disciplines of Engineering & Technology. The institute is permanently affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Aurangabad and is approved by AICTE, Delhi and DTE Maharashtra. MIT has received recognition under Section 2(F) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. UGC has granted autonomous status to the institute.
MIT has got accreditation from Department of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India as a Science and Industrial Research Organization (SIROs). MIT has been empanelled under Unnat Maharashtra Abhiyan, a project by the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. MIT has been also selected under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan,a flagship programme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), Government of India.
MIT is an approved ESCO by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Government of India. MIT has developed strong linkages between industry, government & non-government organizations. MIT is pioneer in establishing mutually beneficial triangular partnership among academic institutions, industry and government organizations. It also provides solutions to live problems and works on research projects of industries.

This college has been allotted to me at the third round. Before I haven't applied for this college. After third round we has no choice to choose the college or drop the plan for next year so I chose to take admission in this college. It takes a whole day for admission process in the college and for admission in hostel. Overall it's a good college.
