The PhD course started with the course work Usually, the supervisor recommends the subjects to be taken during the coursework. The classes were to be taken along with the students of B.tech and MTech. So, there is a lot to learn from classroom interaction. The professors were well trained and of very deep knowledge. The subjects were taught from the perspective of both research and industry oriented. Every minor aspect of any phenomenon is taken into consideration during the teaching. The elaborate and deep knowledge of any process makes it easy to understand and through this, it's easy to apply the theoretical knowledge in professional life.

Every student is required to complete an internship through a dedicated training and placement cell. Many students take their intensity at foreign universities or foreign companies. Companies such as apple, google, Microsoft, hero, Facebook, Oracle, Sony, tata motors, Ashok Leyland, Samsung, amazon etc. participate in the placement process The recruitment drive starts with the shortlisting of students on the basis of their CGPA and extracurricular activities which are followed by written test and final interviews. Around 90% of students get placement per year Various sessions like personality development, group discussions were conducted by institute to prepare the student for the placements.

Soring fest is one of the asias larhest cultural fest organized by the institute in month of January. People from various back grounds and all over the country oarticipate in it. Many performances are also given by the foreigners. Bollywood stars, standup comedian, cricketers, philosophers etc share stage with the students. Kshitin is a technical event and last for 3 days wirh workshops from various companies. the fest consist of various technical events such as robowars. Colloquium and moot court for the law students. Hackathon, National student space challenge etc are also some of the events. All round the year events are going on the campus.

The fees is reasonable with the facilities provided to the students. Th subsidized mess food, gymkhana fees and medical insurance are some basic facilities available with in the fees. There is no cash collection for any fees in the institute. So, no corruption and over head charges.

The college and its alumni offers various scholarships based on the family income and CGPA. The scholarship ranges from 1 lakh to 4 lakh per annum.

Gender ratio is weak and goverment is trying all the efforts to increase it. Its 1 girl per 10 boys. The campus is a world in itself. it has 2200 acre of campus covered with lush green atmosphere. It has every sports. Its a say at IiT about games " you name it, we have it". from weight lifting to swimming. From squash to lawn tennis. Snooker, carrom, chess every soprts is available here. The campus is full of extracurricular activities including food festivals, talks, debates, poetry etc. Everything is available inside this 2200 acre of boundary.

The institute has 23 hostels The courses offeres are residential the student, faculty all lives with in the campus. The campus is too beautiful. The doctoral students are provided with the single seated hostels. The average 13500 is the mess for one semester. 11000 is the hostel expenses including room charge, electricity, wifi etc. The hostel is equipped with all the facilities such as indoor sports, washing machine, geysers, water cooler, TV, news papers etc.

Tge strength of IITs is their alumni network. Each and every IITian have accomplished a reputation in one or the other field. From politicians to actors, IIT have produced all of them. Few faniusy alumni includes sundar pichai (google CEO), Arvind kejriwal, vinod Gupta etc.

After post graduation i was very curious about research as my full time career. Especially, material science fascinates me a lot. So, I chose IIT Kharagpur for my doctorate as it is an institute of national importance and stands at 281 QS rank all over the world. The university has a very high research output and contributed significantly to society. As a part of the admission procedure, the applicants need to fill out an online form. The admission to a doctorate is conducted twice a year i.e. in June and Dec. The GATE exam pass is mandatory for getting shortlisted for the procedure The shortlisted candidates are called for a written test ( in some departments) followed by an interview with a highly talented panel of processors. The candidates who qualify for the written test only went through the interview stage. Generally, both interviews and written are completed on the same day. Later on, the result is declared on the institute's website.

The worlds best faculties are engaged in teaching and research work at IITs. Their qualifications, knowledge and industry tie ups make them best for their job. Usually, the subjects were taught by the faculty having exoertise in their field For example, the person having expertise in welding will teach the welding to students, person having expertise in refrigeration will teach only refrigeration. In this way, the students get their maximum from the faculty. All the faculties are taking industry oriented projects. Also, most of them have earned a significant experience from the foreign universities.
