Entrance Preview

I took CET which is the entrance exam of Karnataka and I scored 4000 odd ranking and I chose this particular college because it was one of the best colleges in my home town.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was good. Was able to learn new subjects rather than old ones. Since my field was in information technology, the technology keeps on changing day by day but our college curriculum did change along with the trend and was helpful in learning new things.

Internships Opportunities

I didn't get the chance to do an internship in any of the companies. Internship oppourtunites are more for the final year students than any other students.And the stipend depends on each company.

Placement Experience

Placement and job oppourtunities are very good in the recent years. Almost 95% people are getting job in my stream and overall in the college around 80% people are getting placed.

College Events

Our college celebrates its annual techno-cultural fest called techNIEks in the even semester every year and its one of the biggest fest in our city. Thousands of people from different places visit our fest.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are around 100 kinds of scholarship offered to different students based on various factors and also there are many loan facilities available too.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. Every student is much friendly to talk to. Ragging is banned , therefore nothing to worry about. There are lots of sports and competitions arranged throughout the year.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a separate alumni association which manages the alumni and the college connection. Also seniors visit every now and then for various talks etc.

Exam Structure

Exams are not too hectic, it all depends on how well you are prepared. Usually you'll get 2-4 days gap between each exam.

Faculty

Faculty of our college are very supportive and helpful in many ways.They help us to understand the subject very well. Not only in the field of academics but they help us in other ways too.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Great college with poor placement

Placement Experience:

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

I got admission in this college from entrance exam named comedk it is conducted all over India. In comedk questions will b asked on 12th phy chem and maths. Overall the college is good

I got seat via KCET. KCET is held once a year . It's engineering entrance exam for colleges in Karnataka. After the exam there will be counseling and usually the cutoff for NIE Mysore CSE and ISE is around 5k to 6k .
