Remarks

Academics are good. Extracurriculars are more than excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Theory is not really good, its just okayish. But the labs are the real deal. They force you to do research on your own, explore and gain real knowledge. Until now there were no industrial visits as i've only completed my first semester until now. But they really make you a professional and really help in scoring a on campus placement. However, off campus internships play a vital role in scoring a placement.

Placement Experience

4

Microsoft, google, hero, honda, flipkart, amazon, hyunai etc provide good package but there are a lot of mass recruiters too. Placement chances of coe, it and software braches are the highest. And student from any branch can be placed anywhere (like mechanical student in a software based company) all you need is the knowledge of that field. Internships play a vital role in placements.

College Events

5

My college conducts one of the best and biggest festivals in india. Our engifest is north india's biggest youth led festival. You won't get bored here, as something or the other is going on throughout the year. Not only they are fun but you can learn a lot from they.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes the college provides a transparent fee breakdown. The fee is about 1.8 lakh p.a which increases about 5-10% every year. So the overall fee is feasible. Hostels are provided to outside delhi students and their fee is minimal. There are no additional charges that should be paid to get in any course. Admission is strictly on the basis of JEE MAINS in btech course. Other courses provided by the college are BDes. Phd, Mtech.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i did not opted for any scholarship or education loan. And i don't have much idea about the same. But scholarship is there as i have seen people opting for the same.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is as amazing as it can be. The gender ratio is pretty bad 10:1 ratio on average. (Only drawback of this college). Plenty of sports to offer. We have our own sports complex in campus. Cricket field, football field, indoor badminton, table tennis, kabaddi, you name it, we have it. A ton of extracurricular activites are there as well, a number of societies, tech-teams for robotics, we build our race cars, offroad buggies, etc here. You can find people from all over the world here. Fair Elections happen every year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I have not opted hostel but many of friends live there. Condition of hostels is fine. There are 4 branches of boys hostel and one girls hostel. Average rental is 15000 per semester(4 months approx). Hostels are either 3 sharing or 2 sharing. If you come to this college, trust me nothing is better than a night in hostel. People here don't sleep. You will find people playing in sports complex at 3 am or having dinner at night cafe at 2.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are great, they are very helpful and help solving our problems. They are very friendly and will help you wherever they can.

Admission

After 12th i gave entrance exam called jee mains. JAC conducted the joint counseling for DTU, NSUT,IIITD. My first preference was COE but i got mechanical anyway. I choose this college mainly because of the extra curricular activites and the college's lit fests.

Faculty

4

There is a huge variation in the ages and quality of teaching of the faculty. You can find every kind of teacher here in this college. Qualification of every teacher is to notch. It mainly depends if you pay attention in class or not. Practical knowledge of teachers is good and it helps a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
